Cruz argued that in 70 percent of counties in America, consumers have a choice of one or two health insurance plans on the Obamacare exchanges.

How will that change under Trumpcare?

Well, as I understand it, one of the first changes will be that people can buy health insurance from anybody in the country, across both county and state lines.

Can’t do that now.

And will they require the health insurance companies to sell it?

Seventy percent of the counties in this country have one or two healthcare insurance providers because they are rural. Small populations, limited number of healthcare providers, limited incomes. Why would more insurance companies want to get into that situation, fight for a limited number of customers, go through the time and expense of establishing a network of providers, all for limited potential for business? They have to make money to make it worth while. If the expenses don't exceed costs by an acceptable amount then there is no reason for the company to get into that market.
