Tony Shaffer, former CIA analyst and retired U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, told FOX Business Network,
“I would put this right at the feet of John Brennan and Jim Clapper and I would go so far as to say the Obama White House was directly involved before they left. Ben Rhodes and those folks… The Democrats are behind this and some of the Republicans are involved with the leaks. So I say ‘Bring it on!’”
These leaks have essentially exposed the fact that we are intercepting the communications of the Russian ambassador. While that can be expected, it nominally exposes a capability that would be up in the SCI world. Following the chain from the intercept to the leak may make for an indictable offense.
I agree with Shaffer.... They have always appeared to be pretty shady characters and were unable to hide it.
I didn’t see him as I was watching FOX news with
Martha Mac Callum and she was talking about the three possible replacements for Flynn - all military - Petreaus and two others. General Jack Keane was her guest and he thought Petreaus would be the best bet. Good grief! A man who couldn’t keep secrets safe and yeah, let’s put him in that job! She asked him about the other two and he said he didn’t know them AND THEN SAID, “”one of them is a good friend of mine””. At that point, I had to ask myself, why do I waste my time?
