Scott Pruitt's Game-Changing Call for Debate on Climate Science

In light of charges by a former National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientist that agency researchers are manipulating data to support climate alarmism, Scott Pruitt -- President Donald Trump’s nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency -- is right to call for open debate on the science.

At stake are trillions of dollars, countless jobs, and, if the climate scare is justified, the fate of the global environment. The public needs to have confidence that this is not just a politically convenient crusade devoid of solid scientific support.

Last week, former NOAA scientist Dr. John Bates publicly announced his concerns that an influential science paper published just before the Paris climate conference did not follow government data integrity guidelines. Bates charged that the NOAA paper, published in the journal Science in June 2015, used misleading and unverified data to demonstrate that the slowdown in global warming reported in 2013 by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) did not exist. As reported by London’s Daily Mail, Bates said that Thomas Karl, the paper’s lead author and, at the time, director of NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information, was:

... insisting on decisions and scientific choices that maximized warming and minimized documentation … in an effort to discredit the notion of a global warming pause, rushed so that he could time publication to influence national and international deliberations on climate policy.
The Daily Mail reports:
[Bates’] vehement objections to the publication of the faulty data were overridden by his NOAA superiors in what he describes as a "blatant attempt to intensify the impact" of what became known as the Pausebuster paper.

I’ll just bet they are. This appointment has the potential to be earth shattering. In a good way.

The EPA was created by Executive Order and can be abolished just as easy!

We used to call this plain old FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDERING, Both Major Felonies with Severe Prison Time involved.

Add On Falsifying Official Government Records for Profit or Gain and they could be looking at LIFE IN PRISON!!!

Everything you need to know about the climate change agenda was stated quite clearly by the UN's top climate official in 2015:

"This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history.

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution. That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 - you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation."

At stake are trillions of dollars

And THAT is a large part of the problem. The researchers want money and the Democrats want control over every aspect of your life.

“It was announced on Fox Business this morning that staffers inside the EPA were placing phone calls to senators asking them vote “no” on Pruitt.”

EPA employees are about to face their ‘climate change’. Once they were sucking off the public tit, now they’re facing unemployment...their climate is changing.

Then they should be fired, and possibly prosecuted. They’re not supposed to politic their own department, certainly on on taxpayer time using taxpayer phones.

Even though Dub Ya raised it to cabinet level? I thought that took Congress.

Not sure, but the way I see it, if Nixon can Create it with the Stroke of a Pen. President Trump can eliminate it the same way.

Here is how they settle the science. From above article in Daily Mail:

“But Dr Bates said this increase in temperatures was achieved by dubious means. Its key error was an upwards ‘adjustment’ of readings from fixed and floating buoys, which are generally reliable, to bring them into line with readings from a much more doubtful source – water taken in by ships. This, Dr Bates explained, has long been known to be questionable: ships are themselves sources of heat, readings will vary from ship to ship, and the depth of water intake will vary according to how heavily a ship is laden – so affecting temperature readings.

Dr Bates said: ‘They had good data from buoys. And they threw it out and “corrected” it by using the bad data from ships. You never change good data to agree with bad, but that’s what they did – so as to make it look as if the sea was warmer.’”

The congress will have to be involved since they did not veto Reorg Plan 3 in 1970. The President can’t just eliminate a cabinet level department on his own.

A massive purge will be needed with EPA management. Pruitt should fire all the career appointees and start from scratch. Do not leave one stone unturned. The civil service bureaucrats at EPA will cause enough damage, but you cant fire them without cause. But you can purge the appointee managers.

Functions required by law can be transferred back to other departments. If there is no law specifying an EPA exists, then it should be removable by EO.
