I happened to be in the room when the NY Slimes ran that ad. I couldn’t stop laughing for 5 minutes. The cognitive dissonance was... epic.

The old gray lady, the slimes, has been fading for years. Part of it is due to the Internet edging out printed papers but also because of the garbage printed between the first and last pages.
Still, they will probably survive even if as a smaller outfit, because the cities are still full of fools who read that garbage like it’s their marching orders for the day/week/month.
Same with CNN and the WaCompost Pile.
God must have a mischievous sense of humor to put two basic type people on the earth, leftists and us, the more or less normal people knowing we will knock heads indefinitely. Sometimes very literally.
The NRA ad is truthful. That is why it is effective. The New York Times is a leftist propaganda organ and as such has lost its credibility.
But the truth is Republicans and conservatives are worthless when it comes to attack. Where does all the money contributed to so called conservative organizations go? Where is the counter-attack, the billboards,the ads, radio spots? The truth is we are going to lose this war.
Other than Trump's tweets and a few examples like this, republicans and conservatives are MIA. Despite any short-term victories through the the use of government, when it comes to culture, education, societal norms, and the momentum of ultimate change, progressives OWN the battlefield.
The truth is when it comes to a fight, republicans and conservatives suck.
Looks like the NRA wants me back.
