Same here. I agree 100%.

One thing I’d like to see is to have all the supposed elite appear on a show like Jeopardy. The few that do usually end up looking stupid. They would look even stupider if they were competing against other typical Jeopardy contestants rather than each other.

I’m not saying that a vast knowledge of 18th century literature or ‘50s musicals means that you are smart, or that the lack of it means you are stupid, but these “elites” regularly show themselves to be ignorant in subjects where you would expect them to have some expertise. It is really pathetic.

0vomit on Jeopardy. That would be a laugh riot. I am amazed he can tie his own shoes.

>> That’s why they spend so much time, money, and effort creating protectionist laws that prevent others from competing with them on a level playing field.

When conservatives use the term ‘elite’ it's NOT a compliment... it's a phrase based on sarcasm and contempt... Kind of like calling an uppity street whore the ‘Queen of Sheba’....

You are correct. It is mostly a social construct. The Cool Kids club from Junior High, if you will.
The elites have a long history of goofiness. Mussolini’s fascism was supported by many of them before WWII. Joseph Kennedy thought Communism was cool.

Their bubble is very tight and small.

The public no longer believes that privilege and influence should be predicated on titles, brands and buzz, rather than on demonstrable knowledge and proven character. The idea that brilliance can be manifested in trade skills or retail sales, or courage expressed by dealing with the hardship of factory work, or character found on an Indiana farm, is foreign to the Washington Beltway, Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

These "elite" people often have ridden on the coattails of their parents or other connections. They espouse the politically-correct views that are the current fad. But they have never learned to do true critical thinking because they are never personally challenged in their views, like conservatives and Christians are continually challenged. They think that they are smart simply because they have adopted their peers' approved views. Thomas Sowell called them "the anointed" and "the intellectuals." They condescendingly treat others with contempt because they think that they are better than us. Many of the American public have finally recognized them as the fools they truly are.

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." Romans 1:22
