“After lying under oath to Congress about his own communications with the Russians, the Attorney General must resign,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement released Wednesday night.
“Sessions is not fit to serve as the top law enforcement officer of our country,” Pelosi said in the statement, according to the Boston Globe.
The Boston Globe also reported that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has called for Sessions’ resignation.
“We need Attorney General Jeff Sessions … to resign,” Warren said. “We need it now.”
The Associated Press tweeted on Thursday that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has joined he ranks of Democrats calling for Sessions to resign.

Republicans will be jumping on the Session resign bandwagon tomorrow. Next they will go after Pence or Bannon. Domino by domino until they get to Donald. If he is to survive, he must crush this soft coup that is being executed against him at once. And deal harshly with the participants.
After years of ignoring, encouraging, or covering up far worse scandals in the Obama administration, this ridiculous Crying Wolf is wearing thin.
Shame on anyone who does this. Including other Republicans. Sessions needs to concentrate on important investigations and I am sure he is.
Perhaps this false outrage is to blunt any fallout from what real corruption investigations of democrats or fake republicans will reveal.
Holder approves shipping guns to the cartels in Mexico in violation of the laws of both countries with the goal of undermining the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution and he did not resign, nor did any Democrat even support an investigation.
