Now that's odd. The government has a problem with "trespassing" on federal land when it comes to an American citizen allowing his cattle to graze there. But apparently there's no issue with those that are NOT American citizens "trespassing" and abusing federal land. And private land. Well, apparently there is a problem now with "trespassers". To paraphrase Ringo----"Hey! Leave them cows alone."

If the average american ever saw pics of the “grazing land” they would be in shock. A lot of it is high desert land that is so poor it can’t be used for anything else except fringe grazing. Certainly not worth paying much for.

No. The Beatles “Hard Days Night” on the set at the studio. LOL! We watched it ‘ondemand’ the other day. Still found humor in it.

Good. Use public lands for profit, pay the taxpayer for the use. No room for free loaders, corporate welfare.

Lucky me, I get to see it up close anytime I want to. ;-) We kinda like the stark beauty of it. In a desolate kind of way. LOL!

Hmmm...let’s see. The Federal gov’t is suppose to help its citizens. A rancher grazes cattle on the land which would otherwise be an unused resource. Because he doesn’t pay feed costs, he can afford to sell his beef for less to the benefit of beef consumers. Now, he has to pay a $500,000 fine, which he will try to pass onto consumers, which will raise the price of beef. Plus, he now has to pay for feed which also raises the price he has to pay for beef. Typical Federal gov’t policy: Heads they win, tails you lose.

LOL! Pay the taxpayers? Surely you jest. Maybe the blm will use it to make some improvements. ;-) Maybe they could use some of the gains to help out the folks in Lemmon Valley. Pretty ugly up here in the north valleys. Thankfully, I have plenty of elevation but looking down at Swan Lake right now, it ain’t pretty.

What happened is that Hage was denied his grazing rights on that land. So they fenced it off and the feds would go through and leave the gates open. The cattle, like cattle do, found the gate open and through they went.

Hage won a lawsuit aginst the feds and you all should read what the judge said about it in his ruling.

Cliven Bundy has something over a million dollars in back grazing fees he’s hasn’t paid.
That was what started the protest with the feds a couple years ago in his situation.

If our new Interior Secretary Zinke were to drop the case, it would be great.

That’s some windfall racket the Fed government has here. Weeds and shrubs naturally growing for countless millenniums that they didn’t plant and have put no financial investment to charge cattlemen big money. It’s almost like stealing.

Background: this is only a regulation and that Trump should abolish it. The 1897 or 1896 Act allows the Feds to charge cattle grazing locoweed. This reg was written in or about 1906 authorized by this Act, and it’s way past time to do away with this nonsense.

I suggest the rancher send a bill to the government for $500,000 in return for the manure that was delivered to federal lands a decade ago.

Pray that Trump either sells off much of this land or simply deeds to the states.
