Tony Blair has attended a secret meeting at the White House to discuss working for Donald Trump, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. The former Prime Minister held talks with Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner on Wednesday with a view to becoming a Middle East peace envoy for Trump. This newspaper has learned that Blair and Kushner have met three times in secret since September, including their three-hour summit in the West Wing last week. If Trump gives Blair the new role, it would mark an astonishing international comeback for the man whose reputation was left in tatters after the Iraq War.

President Trump should not be hiring unemployed flacks who still want government jobs, especially from foreign countries. He and W were best buddies, so that should be warning enough.

Agree, Tony Blair is a total waste of time and definitely bad for Israel.

On the good side he has denied the Mail article, claiming not to be in discussions with the WH about any position, and definitely not as Middle East peace negotiator.

“The friendship between Ms Deng and Ivanka is thought to go back several years. In 2008, Ms Deng, at the time still married to Mr Murdoch, reportedly intervened when Ivanka’s relationship with Mr Kushner faced difficulties.
According to a magazine, Ms Deng invited the couple to Mr Murdoch’s yacht Vertigo to help them patch things up.”

I don’t know anything about Blair’s activities but there is this:

“Blair was peace envoy for the ‘Quartet’ from 2007 to 2015. But he made little progress and was dogged by claims that he was ‘too close’ to the Israelis. When he stepped down, he was said to have been ‘frustrated’ by his limited role in helping the Palestinians.

“Neither has he had any discussions about taking such a role or any role working for the new president. He has been working on the peace process for 10 years. He continues to do so. He does so in a private capacity. He will continue to do it in that way. Period.”

“Last November, the Telegraph revealed that Mr Blair and Mr Kushner had dined together in a fashionable restaurant in New York.”

Okay. There has to be a pretty good reason why this would even be considered. Was Blair still PM when we had Iraq somewhat stabilized?

Those images of Iraqi women voting and showing their purple thumbs was a strong message of civil life returning to Iraq. I recall he was a supporting coalition leader around that time.

Whether you think the war was a mistake or not it is still part of the past. If he has experience in rebuilding, it may prove helpful. I don't fault President Trump for thinking outside the box. He now has more info than any of us and I trust his instincts.

Don;t think this is very true, as Blair is under attack for being a traitor back in the UK for his push to overturn Brixit

Blair’s fooling around with Deng doesn’t bother me as much as his hatred of what Brexit means. He still hopes that plan fails or is reversed, with no regard for what the majority voted to do. He is a Globalist
plain and simple. No!!

Rupert Murdoch hurt by ‘closeness’ of Wendi Deng and Tony Blair, editor reveals

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/sep/13/rupert-murdoch-hurt-by-closeness-of-wendi-deng-and-tony-blair-editor-reveals?CMP=share_btn_tw

“The alleged closeness between the mother of his two youngest children and Blair, a man Murdoch had been “financially and politically generous” to, was reported to the family by domestic staff, according to Chris Mitchell, the former editor-in-chief of the Australian newspaper.”

“It was clear that my boss had been devastated by the closeness he found between his wife and his former friend. I never asked what that was, but it is clear that his Australian family, alerted by domestic staff, rang the bell on whatever was going on when Rupert was out of town.”

I may be wrong but I am beginning to have my doubts about Jared Kushner.

His closeness to Deng is only relevant as it pertains to her best buddy Ivanka. Seems odd. Deng clearly had a crush on Blair. It appears something did happen between them according to Murdoch.

I don’t want him because of Bush AND Brexit.

Jared’s family on his dad’s side has been very liberal. Caused a rift in the family. His uncle backed Christie. Jared’s brother was seen out during that woman’s march. He is dating lib Karlie Kloss.

I don’t trust Jared or Ivanka. I admire Ivanka for many reasons. But she pulls her dad to the left. She is out of her league in the cesspool of DC.

Regardless of the worth of Tony Blair, what I object to is this “secret meeting” BS I’m seeing in reports about this.

If you want to talk about secret meetings, talk about all those calls and meeting of IRS officials meeting in the WH that NOTHING was done about. What about all the meetings of operatives of the DNC and Democrat plotting in that place DAILY. What about ‘secret’ meetings out on the tarmac in Lynch’s plane? What about all that crap.

Screw this ‘secret’ Blair meeting stuff.

Blair has not denied the meetings.

He just says he is not pitching to be Envoy.

Well, he is meeting for a reason.

It’s not about secret liasons with Deng, is it?

So it must be political

pThis is all Democrat scheming to transpose Blair’s meeting into some sort of connection with the Russian Ambassador, et al supposed meetings. It is nothing but innuendo and supposition, loose at that, and totally scurrilous and underhanded horsesh!t.

Get rid of the Obama appointees, get rid of even career track employees who are leftists, isolate leftist journalists from the WH and its staff. Replace EVERY US Attorney in this country, sh!tcan ANY nominations to judgeships Obama has made still in process, and a whole host of other actions.

Frankly, it’s time to Stalin-Purge on their ass.
