The author’s conclusion in McMartin is, of the 41 complaints, against 7 defendants, one and only one was possibly guilty, although the court and jury did not so find.
Zero, or if the author is correct, one out of 41 is not a very good or convincing record! At best, that would be like expecting to be in the Majors with a .000 or .024 batting average.
I would not consider that to be a very convincing argument, for anything other than the high speaking fees he charges.

Ted Gunderson (the late?) is someone that I am wary of, to be honest. Never trusted him. There are charlatans who pretend to be interested in truth. Not saying he was that...just my sense. I mean, when someone claims that the people in the next room can be overheard plotting to pump poison gas into the adjacent room (his room), in the middle of a live radio interview, my BS meter goes off.

The guy sounded pretty sincere on all the corruption going on in our government so who knows. Pizzagate/Pedogate does make a little more sense when you bring in what he had been saying all along about child trafficking in the US.
I try to be skeptical of what I read or see on the internet as well. It's possible that with all the info he knew with so much at stake, the guy might have gone paranoid eventually.

The evaluation I've heard from law enforcement personnel who worked with Gunderson is that he was legit but imperfect. He knew a lot about the cases he worked on, but some of his conspiracy theories got carried away, so his work is worth looking at but requires some critical sifting, IMO. Some of his files on Satanic crime are online and can be downloaded as a zip file:
