Does Times Reporting Support Donald Trump’s Wiretap Claim? (NY Times Implosion Underway)
The New York Times ^ | MARCH 8, 2017 | Liz Spayd THE PUBLIC EDITOR

Posted on 03/08/2017 7:32:28 AM PST by Helicondelta

Several readers have written in this week saying they’re having a hard time squaring The Times’s own past reports of wiretapping with the paper’s assertions that there is no firm evidence that any warrants for wiretaps have been issued. Readers also expressed confusion with The Times’s assertion that it would be illegal for a White House to receive information about such investigations, when its own wiretapping story in January said the Trump White House was given some information from intercepted communications.

“For months now the NY Times and many other mainstream news sources has been running stories based on anonymous leaks saying that a massive investigation was going on into Trump and company’s Russian dealings based on wiretaps and intel intercepts,” wrote John Penley of Asheville, N.C. “Now Obama officials are saying this all never happened so my question is this: Why have the NY Times and others been saying it has for months now basing their stories on anonymous leaks?”

I reached out to editors in the Washington bureau to seek their help in clarifying the difference between Clapper’s — and The Times’s — assertions that no warrants had been issued, and the reference to wiretapping in the January story.

Their new thesis is that Obama was such a worthless pos president, he had nothing to do with and was oblivious about his “blood and death in the streets” AG working furiously to DESTROY the incoming administration by whatever means possible.

Essentially they were getting ready to accuse the president elect of treason, but hey, why bother the boss with that trivial stuff.

RE: First of all, the fact that someone produced a transcript of a conversation between Mike Flynn and Amb. Kiryalin - a conversation that occurred at Trump Tower

______________________________

OK, this is in direct contradiction to what the Public Editor wrote in the article. She said this [and I quote]:

“Elisabeth Bumiller, the bureau chief, said the January story was referring to information picked up from wiretaps and other intelligence collected overseas, a process that requires no warrants.”

So, the Times asserts that the wiretaps were collected from conversations tapped OVERSEAS.

Does the NYT have to run stories by Mexican national Carlos Slim before they publish them?

It should be embarrassing that the failed NYT had to be bailed out by a Mexican billionaire.

TLDR;
Obama good.
Trump evil.
We believe anything anti-Trump and disbelieve anything that makes Trump look good.
Contradictory articles are consistent with that philosophy so must both be true.
Some readers are too stupid to understand.

Will the Times clarify that Trump isn’t literally Hitler or literally a Nazi or literally a KKK member?

Time for a TRUMP Tweet based on this information:

“MORE proof the NY Times makes it up as they go. Pathetic rag. Americans don’t trust you. NYT = Epic Fail.”

"So why aren’t ADM Rogers, Jim Comey and John Brennan in a dark room with a bright light in their face answering some very difficult questions...? Oh, and strap them up to a poly while you’re at it."

And why aren't the current leadership of the FBI and CIA denouncing the leaks and promising to get to the bottom of it?

Don’t put Admiral Rodgers into that evil group.

Last year, this brave Admiral flew to NYC to meet with Trump at Trump Tower after being warned by the evil ones you mentioned and other Obama/Clinton thugs wanting Rodgers head for going to Trump.

That group wanted Rodgers’s head for his unapproved trip to see Trump and warn him about what we have been reading about for weeks.

eillance powers of the federal intelligence services.

On Tuesday November 8th, 2016 the election was held. Results announced Wednesday November 9th, 2016.

NSA Director Rogers participates in session at Intelligence and National Security Summit in Washington. On Thursday November 17th, 2016, NSA Director Mike Rogers traveled to New York and met with President-Elect Donald Trump.

On Friday November 18th The Washington Post reported on a recommendation in “October” that Mike Rogers be removed from his NSA position:

The heads of the Pentagon and the nation’s intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.

The recommendation, delivered to the White House last month, was made by Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., according to several U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

[…] In a move apparently unprecedented for a military officer, Rogers, without notifying superiors, traveled to New York to meet with Trump on Thursday at Trump Tower. That caused consternation at senior levels of the administration, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal personnel matters. (link)

Remember, historically The Washington Post is the preferred outlet for the CIA and Intelligence Community within Deep State to dump their “leaks” and stories. The State Department “leaks” to CNN for the same purposes.

On Saturday November 19th Reuters reported on the WaPo Story and additional pressure by Defense Secretary Ash Carter and DNI James Clapper to fire Mike Rogers.

[…] The Washington Post reported that a decision by Rogers to travel to New York to meet with Trump on Thursday without notifying superiors caused consternation at senior levels of the administration, but the recommendation to remove him predated his visit. (link)

The Intelligence Community -at the direction of President Obama- made a request to a FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump in June 2016. It was denied.
In October the Intelligence Community (NSA) -at the direction of President Obama- made a second request to the FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump. It was approved.

At around the same time (October), as the second request to FISA, (Def Sec) Ash Carter and (DNI) James Clapper tell President Obama to dump NSA Director Mike Rogers.
A week after the election, Mike Rogers makes a trip to Trump Tower without telling his superior, James Clapper; which brings about new calls (November media leaks to WaPo) for President Obama to dump Mike Rogers.

Occam’s Razor. NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers didn’t want to participate in the spying scheme (Clapper, Brennan, Etc.), which was the baseline for President Obama’s post presidency efforts to undermine Donald Trump and keep Trump from digging into the Obama labyrinth underlying his remaining loyalists. After the October spying operation went into effect, Rogers unknown loyalty was a risk to the Obama objective. 10 Days after the election Rogers travels to President-Elect Trump without notifying those who were involved in the intel scheme.

Did NSA Director Mike Rogers wait for a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) to be set up in Trump Tower, and then notify the President-elect he was being monitored by President Obama?

….Seems likely.

Yes, they are going to explain the “difference” between “Obama” and “Obama Administration”, and between “wiretap” and “electronic surveillance”.

Interesting isn't it. While asserting a difference between Obama and Obama Administration, they see no difference between Trump and Trump Campaign Officials. On the one hand, Obama is only responsible for his own personal actions while Trump is responsible for the activity by anyone who has ever spoken to him.
