Be very careful Democrats and your mainstream media allies. The fake news story about collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia is a minefield that could destroy your credibility even beyond conservative skeptics who already don't believe you.
So who is making this warning? One of the usual "rightwing" sources? Nope. The warning comes from the very very liberal Matt Taibbi and if you doubt his leftwing bonafides you can verify it right here on NewsBusters. Taibbi is very worried about the Trump-Russia story blowing up in the faces of the left as you can see in his March 8 Rolling Stone article, Why the Russia Story Is a Minefield for Democrats and the Media:

Here a story from yesterday: CNN Anchor to Paul Begala: Stop using Russia story to ‘question the outcome of the election’.
The executive summary is this: a female host reporterette on CNN yesterday told Clinton uber-liar Paul Begala to hush his mouth when he ran the same-old "Trump conspired with Putin to steal the election from poor Hillary" up the flag pole.
“Don’t even go there! Don’t even question the outcome of the election, Paul! Don’t even go there right now. Stop needling that. Stop poking the bear on that," our intrepid reporterette said.
It's obvious. TPTBs have put out the word: the Russian story goes to the memory hole, immediately. Back it down, turn it off, shovel it out of sight.
All because of two tweets shot like lightning bolts from the fingers of President Trump, the Man Who Had No Chance Against Hillary.
You’d think the RATS would have taken advantage of Tulsi Gabbard in the DNC rat-fight. You’d think the RATS would do *anything* rational to protects those billions worth of donors. You’d think HRC would have taken Sanders VP and smacked us into outer space, for 40 years.
You’d think the RATS would have deferred to James Carville instead of throwing away their 100yr project to Robbie Mook. You’d think they’d have taken Wikileaks and Anonymous seriously. You’d think they’d have prevented WJC and Lynch from meeting.
All in all, it could be said the RATS threw their own election. For what means?

You also would think Jeb Bush was invincible. And another Bush/Clinton matchup was inevitable.
What happened is the arrogance of the establishment ran headfirst into two insurrections come 2016. One insurrection was much older and practical than the other, so it succeeded. Plus, Trump re-wrote the political playbook and the other side still doesn't want to realize that the rules have changed, so they keep calling plays from the old, failed playbook.

Millions of millionaires on their side all over the globe couldn’t couldn’t talk sense into them. Their 1% didn’t get that way by being stupid. It’s a mystery to me.

Note the flaw. He assumes his "colleagues" are reporters. They are hired fantasists dreaming of utopia formed by the elimination of the deplorables.
The Press really needs to fear the reaction to their dreams coming true. The President is immensely popular and deeply loved. They fail to know this at the risk of their own heads.
