That sounds like a pretty strong endorsement to me.

How does a three part scheme make any sense? That’s like saying, “give me $1000 today and next week I’ll give you $2000.” Guess what happens next week? I just don’t trust what is going on here for one minute. I trust Trump but I do not trust Congress. Handing out tax credits is just a bullcrap way of favoring certain people; hint - not everyday people!

The government should be more concerned with making our health system better, not the insurance. It’s time that lawmakers shift the way they think about the role that government should play in health care generally and abandon the idea that their role is to provide health insurance for all.

Let’s not forget that we didn’t want Obamacare at all when it was enacted - it was forced on us and reinforced by a wacko Supreme Court.

My solution is to simply repeal the entire law and Trump can write executive orders to streamline FDA approval processes, negotiate for lower drug costs, stop drug TV ads, and whatever else he has to do. Congress can’t stop him there!

This GOPe bill will NOT pass the Senate, according to Senators Cruz and Paul.

And yet people here are acting as if this insufficient version is somehow going to find its way to the President's desk.

Not to mention the opposition of most Trump voters, as well as advisors like Bannon.

This is the beginning of the process. Anyone who is objective knows that the bill that the GOPe is pushing is simply not what's going to end up on the President's desk.

President Trump is going to want something that works, and which he can then take credit for.

I just don't buy into the notion that he's ultimately going to sign a garbage "solution" that doesn't address the problems.

This process is going to take months. To take President Trump hyper-literally, which is what the Enemy always tries to do, is simply not realistic.

The President wants to win, and I'm convinced he wants good legislation which actually addresses the problem it's supposed to solve.

Hand-wringing over the President's initial positivity regarding the House bill is both premature and misguided, IMHO.

I don't believe that the President will betray the people who voted for him, and there's no way that firebrands in the Senate such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are going to swallow this inadequate House bill.

The law will ultimately be crafted by legislators. That's their job. Paul and Cruz and Trump voters will hold the President's feet to the fire.

Bellyaching about a law that is nowhere close to being set in stone is a tempest in a teapot, at this stage.

He has endorsed the bill.

So what? Senators Cruz and Paul haven't endorsed the bill, and the bill isn't going to pass the Senate without them.

The President endorsing a bill does not magically spirit it over to the President's desk in its current form for signing.

The bill is fixin' to be modified, whether the President endorses it or not...

You forgot Senator Lee.

if just the three of them vote no, it dies. But I think there will be more.

Pres Trump also tweeted a few hours ago that the bill is anything but complete, and that he apparently has complete confidence in the end result.

Hope that portends good news.

Everyone's allowed an opinion, and mine is that the President is making a tactical error by publicly supporting this awful piece of legislation.

I'm sorry, but a thumbs up is a thumbs up, and his is premature. Now's the time for negotiating a good and workable solution for the American people, not signalling that he's happy with the bill as currently crafted.

Just how is he going to negotiate a better deal from that position? He should have kept pushing it back, and demanding better. From what I can see, he's already blessed this thing.

I just wanted you to be aware of the fact that President Trump has already begun to qualify his previous statement, so that should be a relief to the nervous nellies...

Yes, it's a good sign. Shows that he's listening to us.

As much confidence as I have in President Trump to follow through on all of his promises to us, I don't expect him to be infallible. We're all human, and he will err from time to time. When he strays or falters, I won't temper my loyalty to him, but neither will I turn my eyes from his mistakes, and I intend to call 'em as I see 'em.

Let us not forget that even the great Ronaldus Magnus made enormous mistakes in judgement - some of which we're still paying for today. Learn from that, and don't let your affinity for this potentially great president sway you from helping him to stay the course.

True enough.

I think that Pres Trump deserves at least SOME benefit of the doubt for his intentions. Trust but verify and all that.

And it annoys me how quickly we seem to turn on the man when things don’t go exactly as we want. Work to help him stay the course, yes. Encourage and in some cases yell for him to do the right thing, yes.

But there are some people repeating the lies of the primary with gleeful malice, and some who are eager to ditch without even giving the man a chance.

So there’s a difference between what you posted and what is actually happening, at least in some cases.

Too true. I call them on that crap as often as I can.

Truth is, Donald Trump is fast becoming the best president any of us has ever seen, or even dared to dream of. He's earned an enormous amount of loyalty from me and tens of millions of others. He deserves every ounce of it, as no politician in my lifetime has gone to bat for the American people the way this man has.

Because of that, I have a hard time holding my tongue when I see him being attacked.

Did you not hear from trumps own mouth? He said it. You establishment folk are loony. So now you are for a Trillion dollar stimulus and Amnesty for dreamers.. I think you are just a butthurt liberal who would wall illegals in and dole out a Trillion dollar stimulus to save your liberal unions.
