The owners of a Washington wine bar have sued President Trump over what they claim is unfair competition, saying he is using the power of the presidency to lure business to his luxury hotel near the White House.

The action, filed in District of Columbia Superior Court late Wednesday, is the latest legal attempt to pressure Trump over the unprecedented potential conflicts presented by his worldwide business holdings — including the Trump International Hotel, in a former Post Office building that Trump is leasing from the federal government.

I guess opposites didn't attract here:

"Pitts, a social activist and former candidate for city council in Washington, owns the business with his wife, Diane Gross, a Democratic lawyer who once worked as counsel for former Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland."

The legal system should be changed. All these lawsuits can go ahead, but if you lose then you pay the costs of the person you are suing.

I guarantee that these suits will more than half in a year.

They’ll go away.

Everyone wants to win and get paid.

Nobody wants to lose and pay.

As I noted on an earlier thread, this wine bar is fully 14 city blocks away from the Trump Hotel.

unprecedented potential conflicts

What a phrase. Sums up the mainstream media's "reporting" on President Trump.

There was a horse named “The Donald Problem” which was scheduled to run for the first time at the track in New York today. Mere moments prior to the start, he was scratched (did not run). Needless to say, the libs who saw this made a few random comments on Twitter. Maybe the horse knew better, certainly more intelligent than most libs and probably less hateful.

Two little “winey leftists” who are afraid of the big bad Trump Hotel.

If their products are good, along with the food and service, then they have nothing to fear from THE DONALD TRUMP BATES MOTEL AND CAR WASH.

Otherwise, they are just another bunch of liberal aholes who open up a business and it fails for various reasons. There are at least a dozen of more restaurants, new and established, that close each year in D.C.

I can’t afford to eat in many of them. It’s for the monied rich white liberals/millenials and Democrat crooks.

Petty partisan political crap. Americans are growing very tired of this. Mid term elections might just wipe rats out. Notice you don’t hear any polls about this subject? That should tell us something.
