An anti-Islam Dutch leader is barred from power. His supporters say: Just wait.

ALMERE, the Netherlands — If the Dutch anti-Islam leader Geert Wilders were any other politician, his robust election showing this week would warrant a shot at joining a political coalition.

But the bleached-blond agitator says Moroccans are “scum,” mosques are havens of terrorism and the Koran is a blueprint for destruction, positions no mainstream Dutch leader will endorse.

The anxious conventional leaders of Europe, fearful that an anti-establishment surge was unstoppable, breathed with relief after Dutch voters in Wednesday’s election failed to make Wilders the biggest politician in the Netherlands. They hope for a repeat in France and Germany later this year. But for those who think that the Netherlands is now as placid as its canals, Wilders’s followers have a message: They are furious that they have been locked out of power. And they say their ranks will continue to grow.

I don’t think that WILDERS’ party will get a second chance. If he can’t win the first time, he will lose next time. The Dutch are not yet convinced that Islam is destroying their country.

They are as dense as Americans.

The pressure will be on Rutte to deliver. He had to adopt some of Wilders’ positions to win.

Their peculiar talent is in convincing folks the threat isn’t as bad yet as to address it. The proverbial slow boil.

Erdogan is luckily awakening up most Europeans bit Rutter and others keep hitting snooze.

It will be interesting to see if the "mainstream Dutch leaders" will be able to continue to "virtue signal" by blinking their eyes after they've been beheaded, like the young French nobleman after he was guillotined in the Terror... 😀

It looks like you don’t understand what just happened in the Netherlands. The dishonest, agenda driven leftists in the media are framing this as a huge loss for Wilders. It was nothing of the sort.

This is not Wilders’ “first time”. He’s been on the political scene in Holland for a decade, steadily winning more support the whole time.

His party saw huge gains in this election while Rutte’s governing coalition was decimated, especially the labor party component.

Yes, Rutte’s party remains #1 but they lost a huge number of seats and Wilders is now #2.

Plus, most of the other parties in the Netherlands, and there are a lot of them, co-opted Wilders’ message about islam thereby diluting a voter bloc that would otherwise have supported him more completely.

The fact that his party is being excluded from joining the new government is an outrage and is also an indictment of the true overlords in Holland, the EU globalists, and their continuing war to deny the will of the people all over the western world.

We shall know for sure if Europe is waking up if they reject Turkey from becoming an EU member.

The Dutch think that anything goes, and that they should tolerate anything. That includes their citizens being raped and murdered by savages.

Do FR’s seriously expect any sort of endorsement for Wilders from WAPOO ?

One thing a lot of people don’t realize is that the Dutch constitution requires a coalition govt. no single party/faction can form a govt without including other factions/parties. The fact that his party is being excluded was anticipated and it was expected that no parties would have allowed him to form a govt had they come out on top. The people are going to see this as either things happening as they should (left) or as their voice not being heard (right). The pendulum will continue to move right.
