A man who claimed his pet pug 'Egg' was stolen at knife point during an armed robbery has been charged with making a false report. It's an unexpected twist in a story that captured the nation's attention.
NSW Police are now one step closer in cracking the case of Egg's disappearance, although it remains unclear if the dog was ever owned by the man in the first place....

Everyone was riled up about the story, and there was also massive concerned for the pug dog. Sydney was in the midst of heat waves, and those types of dogs can die in the heat.
However, it was a hoax. There was no pug, no robbery, no Middle Eastern men.

And it is no yoke — the are omelett, even though they have to walk on eggshells. The perp might have poached the truth but it is hard-boiled justice he will get now. He’ll be fried in the end.

I saw the cracks in this story from day one, although they tried to boil it up in the media.

Yes - and I think he wanted to make himself out to be a victim of Al-Qaida like terrorism. They stole his pug!
