The State Bar of California is investigating potential misconduct by attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing a woman who has accused President Trump of sexually harassing and assaulting her years ago, according to a report published Friday evening.
Allred is known for working with celebrity clients on civil rights and women's issues cases. Last fall, she brought a defamation lawsuit on behalf of Summer Zervos, a former "Apprentice" contestant who alleged Trump groped her during the show's filming.
The state bar has not disclosed what the Allred investigation is about. But it could interfere with that case and others she is working on, including women who have accused comedian Bill Cosby of rape and assault.
The State Bar's Enforcement Unit has taken over the investigation from the State Bar of California, LawNewz reported.
"If it appears, however, that the attorney may be a repeat offender or have committed a violation where there is a serious likelihood of discipline being imposed, an investigator and a Bar prosecutor from the Enforcement Unit take over the investigation," the California Bar's website states.
Allred has no history of being disciplined.
In 2015, the California State Bar received more than 15,000 bar complaints. Just under 1,000 attorneys were disciplined, while 421 lawyers were suspended or disbarred.

I think, at the moment, Trump has much more pressing things with which he must deal.
This is after all California and the dimoKKKRATS control everything. So IMHO in the end nothing will become of this.
Before we get too excited, anyone can file a complaint with the California State Bar for any reason Some will do it out of revenge or to put pressure on a civil case. There must be evidence that the attorney violated criminal law, The State Bar Act or The Rules of Professional Conduct.
But we can hope.....

Gloria thinks about the possible charges. “Whatever. If I wasn’t being paid behind the scenes, under the table, over the top or between the sheets, with every case, then hell, I wasn’t doin’ it right!!”
Isn’t this the accuser that came out and admitted that she was paid to make up the claim?

You are correct. Anybody can complain and they do. The bar has to investigate.
I heard that the contestant admitted she made up the story, and was paid by the Clinton Campaign to make the charge.
