First, the criminals have to believe they’ll actually be prosecuted.

Until someone gets nailed to the wall - not just embarrassed, because that have no shame - that perception will persist.

“Ideologues are (I think) an exception. They have less self-interest than a normal person. They are all about the revolution and they will make choices based on what is best for the revolution. And what is best for the revolution is to simply hunker down and refuse to admit that anything illegal ever happened.
In short: I do not expect any betrayals.”

I like your analysis. You generally have a pretty clear view.

Everybody knows the doubts about his birth certificate or the rumors about him getting youthful homosexual BJ’s in Honolulu but there’s something much more important about Barack Obama:

of all the elections he went through, each one of his career advances was owing to receipt of very timely and damaging private information about his opposition.

each and every time.

who thinks the tiger will change his stripes now..?

Prisoner’s Dilemma ignores the Clinton Gambit. If you don’t defect, but your opponent dies, you win. I will not be surprised if several key players run into sudden health issues.

We may need your input on this subject, if you can spare the time.

Rice did nothing illegal, unless you can prove that she leaked it. I am pretty sure that is not going to happen.

She unmasked them certainly. But as the NSA, that is well withing her role. She could authorize others to view it. She could not control what anyone did with the information once it was unmasked.

No one goes to jail. No one is even taken to trial.

Unfortunately, like everything else in the Obama whitehouse—you know they did something wrong. You cannot prove it. And by complaining, you are showing how weak the Republicans are.

They neither have to defend themselves nor do they have to cooperate.

WE end up losing.

“Does not take into account that there are non extradition countries where these aholes can hide”

That’s why Obola is in Tahiti. Tahiti is a French Colony and France does not have an extradition treaty with the United States. I am waiting for the day when Obola becomes the “new” Julian Assange and is forced to stay where he is or face extradition back here to stand trial. By his criminal acts, he’s managed to throw a bomb in his own “outhouse,” and it’s starting to rain $hit and boards on him.

The elegance of the Prisoner’s Dilemma game theory is its simplicity. It does assume however that the “prisoners” have been (or will be) found guilty of at least a lessor charge. And it assumes there are no replays or repeats. If you allow repeats then cooperative behaviour will occur more, that is until the last iteration. If a criminal is taken into the Witness Protection Program, for instance then going forward he would have less motivation to cooperate and would tend to betray.

No. The prisoner’s dilemma makes numerous unrealistic assumptions about the situation. For example, it assumes that the prisoners are each offered the same deal AND that the deal is contingent on what the other does, while neither has any knowledge of what the other does. It removes the possibility of any back channel coordination, or of third parties applying pressure.

In other words, the prisoner’s dilemma has nothing to do with actual prisoners or real situations of any kind. What the Obama bunch will do is a few fixers behind the scenes will offer inducements to players such as Susan Rice to keep their mouths shut. These inducements may be in the form of awards, or cushy jobs, or anything else including silence about other crimes.

Meanwhile Republicans will not offer them deals for their testimony because a) they don’t care about bringing down someone who is already out of power and b) They fear the political firestorm that would follow finding any actual evidence against Obama or his cronies.

“Assumes the justice system isn’t part of the criminal enterprise?”.....

This whole thing is about “assumptions”. We can read all the evidence, sit around on pins and needles hoping that some day someone will actually charge some individual(s) who OBVIOUSLY needs/deserves jail time but personally, it has become one of the biggest waste of time I have ever seen in my almost 80 years. Talk, talk, talk is all we hear, waiting to hear a resolution may take a lifetime, if ever.

“4. Jeff Sessions will convene a grand jury to indict her. (adults have not been in charge of the Justice dept. for quite some time so this step was missed.”

I’d like to believe that. But history shows that even when adults have been in charge (Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s, for example) the leftist media just becomes all the more weaponized, and with devastating effect.

McCarthy tried to do something about the rampant treason and embedded communist espionage that riddled the federal government. No one can say he didn’t make a good adult effort. The result? He was branded as a witch-hunter and the term McCarthyism is commonly used to describe a hateful, vindictive character assassin - the bad guy.

The statists (leftists) know full well that they are lying and cheating, and they purposely and knowingly apply double standards and false premises. But one thing they are 100% sincere about is their underlying cause. They really do believe that the government is good and more government is better. Anyone who seeks to limit the government (as it should be limited) is seen by them as a threat to the hive. They swarm in perfect solidarity to purge the independent thinker, the liberty seeker, the government budget cutter.

Trump’s aberrant behavior will be punished ruthlessly and relentlessly and there is no lie they won’t agree to or underhanded method they won’t use to mete out their punishment. And they’ll all agree - no betrayals.

Trump is in for a tough time. The left is pure evil - I’m afraid we haven’t seen anything yet.

I hope I’m wrong about what the left is capable of, and I do realize Trump is as tough as they come. Jeff sessions is no pushover either. No doubt about it, Trump has surrounded himself with some great warriors. We’ll all need to have their backs in the coming months.

McCarthy was hardly an adult. While history has proved him right his public alcoholism before, during, and after his investigations went a long way towards undermining his credibility. McCarthy’s worst enemy was himself.

My information comes from those that lived through those times, and while yes the left did destroy him he gave them the ammunition to do it with. And as far as the crack about me being a tool F@CK YOU!
