What does the Prisoner’s Dilemma game theory predict that the Obama Cabal will do next?

Posted on 04/05/2017 5:28:42 AM PDT by 3161J410

This is a mathematical game theory which in its simplest form attempts to predict what will happen when you have two criminals (but it can be any number) who have committed a crime. They have 2 choices: they can either cooperate with the police or they can betray each other by squealing to the cops before the other one does and in so doing garner a sweetheart deal with the prosecutor for much less time whereas the other guy who did not cooperate will get a load of time behind bars. Now if both cooperate with each other then they can both pull off a light sentence because there will be no evidence against them. But if one betrays the other, he will get even less time whereas the other criminal will be saddled with a lot of time. The Prisoner’s Dilemma game theory predicts that the prisoners will NOT cooperate with each other but will in fact betray the other. This is called a Nash Equilibrium because this is the best the criminals can realistically hope for. Will they cooperate or will they betray? Nash says they will betray each other.

Yes, and assumes the criminals have no way of coordinating, or enforcement of agreements.

Ideologues are (I think) an exception. They have less self-interest than a normal person. They are all about the revolution and they will make choices based on what is best for the revolution. And what is best for the revolution is to simply hunker down and refuse to admit that anything illegal ever happened.

In short: I do not expect any betrayals.

This could be the best post of the day. Fun for everyone.
Think that they will tie this to Hillary and Podesta. My suspicion is that Podesta and other Hillary confidants had access to the ‘unmasked’ materials. This will be direct evidence that it was a political operation. Obama skates but a few others including Rice do the perp walk.

Person A, who is under investigation but not yet arrested, or is arrested but out on bond, decides to co-operate in order to receive less punishment. Person B, also under investigation, finds out through one or more of many possible intel methods that A is co-operating. Person A is found with his throat crushed while lifting weights, or commits suicide with two bullets to the back of the head in a local park, or is attacked by an exercise band. Person B no longer has any compulsion to co-operate, and skates.

That is how the Prisoner’s Dilemma has been working for at least the last generation, when it comes to Democrats.

My prediction:

1. Susan Rice will plead the 5th, like Louis Lerner.

2. Cries of racism and sexism against this poor oppressed black woman will reach fever pitch.

3. Establishment Republicans will do the same with Susan Rice as they did with Louis Lerner.

A different result is likely in the real world because political loyalties can be as solid and enduring as those of the Mafia, and prosecutions of political figures tend to be as feeble as those of the Brooklyn DA’s office in 1940s Brooklyn against the Gambino family.

we know what Obama will be doing when he returns from vacation!

March 2: Boston Magazine: Obama Will Receive the “Profile in Courage” Award
The president will receive the honor at the JFK Library in May.
On the 100th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s birth, President Barack Obama is slated to receive the prestigious “Profile in Courage” award at the JFK Library.
Kennedy’s daughter Caroline, the former ambassador to Japan, and her son Jack Schlossberg will present the award to him on May 7....

It’s meant to recognize “public servants who have made courageous decisions of conscience without regard for the personal or professional consequences,” the foundation says...

“Those achievements, such as expanding health security for millions of Americans, restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba, and leading a landmark international accord to combat climate change, stand as a monument to political courage in the modern age.”....

As I understand it, these reports found there way into the President’s Daily Brief, a report presumably available to Presidential Candidate Hillary. And that availability was greatly expanded by Obama after Trump won the election.

I’m betting that it was Clinton-Lynch-Rice running this show with Obama’s OK and support. Prior to the election, when this all started, the real stakeholder was Hillary. After she lost it was Obama and his precious Legacy.

Obama will find some means to talk or goad North Korea to take a step too far in the hopes of maneuvering Trump into attacking.

Why do so few members of organized crime flip on one another when arrested by the police..?

it’s because they all know that the boss has them on video tape doing a truly horrible deed that would send them away forever.

and so it also is with the top US leadership these days.

If you smell the faint bouquet of pizza wafting near, you’ll know they’ll stay quiet:

High hopes, low expectations.

The dems learned what happens when someone defects during Watergate. During the Clinton and Obama eras they stuck together like glue. They will continue this winning strategy.

Not sure if in real world cases the crooks who succesfully cooperate will get any jail time at all. But as stated it is not a logic problem but a problem in loyalty among crooks. Obviously in the stated case the individual crook considering only his own intersest will betray as soon as possible.
