This is not on Obama! It’s all on Bush II. Bush put those terrorists in Gitmo, and then he pushed for nothing more.

Consider this. In June of 1942 a U-boat landed Nazi saboteurs on the eastern coast of the U.S. All were soon captured. FDR made sure they were all quickly tried. Most of them were executed within 6 months.

Think about that. Within 6 months. FDR was far from perfect. But he was a MUCH better war president than Bush II. Much better.

To be fair, lots of condemned met their fate that quickly back then. The guy who tried to assassinate FDR rode the Lightning 4 months after the deed. Four years would be remarkably quick today.

You conveniently left out the lawfare waged by US lawyers (Eric Holder’s law firm among them) on behalf of the jihadis held at Gitmo that was looked upon favorably by interventionist courts.

i read somewhere that FDR said I want them shot. Advisors said you can’t shoot them you have to give them a trial. He said fine give them a trial and the shoot them.
