We had $4 per gallon- plus during some of the period of the Iraq war. Don't be surprised if there's a return to those days, if US gets bogged down in Middle East warfare again.

Yeah, and you know why they will jump? because it’s f*cking April! Every year in April and May gas prices go up.

This year is different. Trump is president. During the reign of obamma, they never once told us that prices were going up. This year, 2 weeks ago, on the news - gas prices will go up. Never fails.

F*ck the media.

Going to rise based upon ‘summer blend’ being brought to market. Other reasons maybe there also

Don't blame the Syrian air strike, blame Bill Clinton! Note that in the early spring of EVERY year, gas prices jump up. It's not because of air strikes, or greedy oil companies, or even cherry blossoms. It's because of Bill Clinton environmental policies. In the cool winter, little gasoline evaporates in your fuel tank, and there is a single fuel volatility standard across most of the US.

Clinton instituted environmental standards that require 17 different grades for the summer. Where I live, halfway between a large metropolis, and a smaller city, there are three grades: metropolis, city, and rural. In the winter, gas stations can fill their tanks from the cheapest supplier. In the summer, they can only fill from the "rural" supplier, if he has any. It's simple economics - the law of supply and demand. When you decrease the suppliers, the price goes up.
