Doctor drugged patient's coffee then asked family to hold patient as she fought not to be killed

A Dutch woman doctor who drugged an elderly woman and then asked her family to hold her down as she fought desperately not to be killed did not break the law, according to medical experts citing the country's euthanasia legislation.

The shocking case was referred to the so-called Regional Review Committee in the Netherlands which admitted that while the case involved some irregularities that merited a reprimand, the female doctor had effectively acted in good faith. However they also added that the case should come to court so that judges can confirm that any other doctor who acts in good faith when providing euthanasia to people with dementia cannot be prosecuted.

Regional Review Committee Chairman Jacob Kohnstamm said: 'I am convinced that the doctor acted in good faith, and we would like to see more clarity on how such cases are handled in the future.' The Netherlands introduced the euthanasia law 17 years ago, and since then more than 5,500 people have ended their life, arguing that they are suffering unbearably. One of those who died was a sex abuse victim who suffered severe anorexia, chronic depression and hallucinations, and another was a severe alcoholic.

That “doctor” would want to be watching over her shoulder for family members in my family.

Outcome of the the drift leftward: tyranny.

Almost as shocking as if some organization were to be able to receive billions of tax dollars, give those tax dollars to those politicians who did so, while selling baby body parts to the highest bidder.

I think a large swath of Americans, upon discovering from the news that aborted babies were being added to our food supply, would shrug their shoulders and flip the channel.

If you read the whole article, they are considering making it legal for anyone 75 or older to be euthanized if they want to be:

“It comes at a time when the Netherlands is considering a proposed extension to the law which would give all over-75s the right to assisted suicide.
A few conditions would have to be met first. There has to be a ‘sustainable, well-considered and intrinsic’ wish to die.
A specially trained ‘life-ending consultant’ would give their verdict about the death wish, which has to be seconded by another consultant or checking committee.
The life-ending consultant would have at least two interviews with the OAP, with at least two months between, to make sure the person knows what they are deciding and that they are not being pressured by their environment. The life-ending consultant could be a doctor, a nurse, a psychologist or a psychotherapist”

This is where obamacare was leading us, though they deny it.

There is a reason Europe is the Old Country for a lot of folks.

The nursing home senior doctor was of the opinion that she was suffering intolerably, but that she was no longer in a position where she could confirm that the time was now right for the euthanasia to go ahead.

However the doctor was of the opinion that the woman's circumstances made it clear that the time was now right.

The doctor secretly placed a soporific in her coffee to calm her, and then had started to give her a lethal injection.

Someone should walk up behind this "senior doctor" one fine morning and give her a proper ChiCom send-off.

ChiCom send-off! So right. We just succeeded in pushing the killing of the “terminally ill” off here in Hawaii. It was a tough battle indeed, and will no doubt be renewed next year. One year at a time.

There was another case, some decades ago in Holland, where a “Doctor” euthanised a teenage girl with anorexia. Unbelievable. She had only a psychological illness, and he did not consult with other colleagues. The case went to court - it was outside their guidelines for mercy killing - and the court viewed a video the girl made, saying that she was depressed and wished to die. So they let him off.

...”incredible. Perhaps the Dutch would be better off with Islam?”...

I doubt that even Islam teaches bumping off the elderly. This is what happens to Godless cultures where the government has taken over all healthcare and, I can see it coming to the US if the left takes over here. A limit will come to hedonistic nations at some point, for most people have an instinct inside of them which dictates right and wrong and taking the life of another because of materialism or narcissism definitely falls into the “wrong” column. Just think, for a moment the depth of depravity of these governments when they justify killing babies before or even after birth because they are inconvenient and they kill the elderly on the other end for the same reason, masking all of it in the lie that they are helping people. To me, it is Satanic, and it will stop somewhere. Perhaps when the government comes to euthanize you or your child because the shape of your nose is not lovely to look at. I guarantee you that many in the Netherlands do not like this but they are probably afraid to speak up. As a medical person myself, I have come to believe that medical advances have brought us to this place. We would have been better off to still have a system where nature makes the decision about who lives and who dies. Nature did not consider materialism or narcissism when she acted and her way was much easier to accept than when death comes at the hands of imperfect and hedonistic human beings.

I would not be surprised if they are being handed over to Islam for a time because of their faithlessness.

This is the end result of single payer. First, a "duty to die," then if that doesn't weed out enough useless eaters, mandatory death panels.

This is not much different then my local VA hospital. They are not killing you directly, just by delay and deny. Funny thing about that anonymous critique I never sent back, they sent me a letter asking why I never sent the first one back. I first thought the doctors I had were incompetent, now I think they were malicious.

This is so sick, on so many levels. Maybe the family didn’t want the burden of caring for their grandmother any more. Maybe they stood to inherit a nice chunk of change upon her demise. But to trick an elderly person into drinking a mickey and then ask family members to hold her down while she is being murdered is absolutely amoral and heinous. I only hope that the Holy One, Blessed Be He, strikes down this “doctor” and anyone else involved in murdering this elderly woman.

Holland might save the cost of the drugs by hiring an expert ISIS head chopper to do the job. I am sure they can find an expert head chopper among their refugee population. Such an expert head chopper might see it as an opportunity to practice up on head chopping so they can continue to be an expert head chopper when Sharia Law is imposed in the nation of Holland.

Please, someone pull the plug out of the dyke! Quick!
