Report states that China will offer two small economic concessions to President Donald Trumps administration in the hope of maintaining friendly relations with the United States.
From the Financial Times:
China will offer the Trump administration better market access for financial sector investments and US beef exports to help avert a trade war, according to Chinese and US officials involved in talks between the two governments.

They decided to throw in some cheap, plastic crap. I say we take it.
WINNING!!!
Art of the Deal, baby!
They can choose.
If you were the typical American who can't afford to eat much beef, you would see this as a major loss.
I imagine that you are a filthy rich republican just like Donald Trump.
America got one from column A and one from column B
But no free egg roll
NO.
Trump, America needs to bring back MANUFACTURING.
We do not need farms. We do not need services.
We need MANUFACTURING.
How do you AVERT a war that started 20+ years ago?
One manufacturing job creates 2 other jobs. One agriculture job not so much.
Well yes. China is really, really manipulating the market. They control, control, control.
There is a segment of people in America who are sold out, who sold out American workers, and who are getting very rich by making things in China. But they are not patriots.
Nope. The system rewards them (and only them) financially for selling out American manufacturing. The rest of America is s*it out of luck. Nope. China is very much, manipulating the entire system.
They are sold out. America needs to be building up America.
You are completely right.
I’m a cattle rancher with about 600 head right now.
Yeah, it’s all very polite right now. Trump said, this is what we want, you guys go back and see what you can offer. This is just a low ball attempt to set the terms of the negotiations. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, Trump probably DIDN’T tell them what he wants.
The concessions are:
1. More financial sector ‘openness’ where we won’t be able to compete against the incumbents and regulations.
2. Beef exports - a commodity.
I see the Chinese are targeting politically well though, investors and ranchers.
How about they open up everything and float their currency.
“We do not need farms.”
Exactly what do you plan to eat from now on?
Soylent Green.
Sorry.
I meant we do not need (more) farms.
We have plenty. That said, America really, really is not running an equivalent trade policy with China or any other country.
We need to protect AMERICA. We have been sold out, by both parties, for the entire last generation.
