The only thing I see as changed is this stupid comment that Macron made in the last 24 hours: .....“imponderable” threat that “will be a fact of daily life in the coming years.”

He was referring to the future ahead and that French people just need to accept the fact that terrorism is part of their lifestyle, and nothing can be done to change that.

Personally, I think it was awful stupid to say that at this junction of the election. Fillon and Melenchon are maybe just 2 points behind Macron. Either could move up and overtake Macron.

The worst combo for Le Pen, I think, is that Fillon and Le Pen are the final two. If so....maybe fifty percent of the public might stay home and not vote. Trying to guess an outcome with half of the voters not involved...would be awful hard to imagine. Fillon, if you remember....vows that he’ll fire 500,000 civil workers for France. So that’s a plus-point for Le Pen.

One other odd piece in this election is that a large assortment of gays have come out and voiced approval for Le Pen and National Front. Some polls indicate that younger voters are also attracted to the National Front. If you had suggested those two key groups back five years ago helping Le Pen win, people would have laughed at you.

Maybe the gays in France are smarter than the gays in American, and realize that Islam taking over France will result in nothing less than their murder.
