Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly says construction of President Trump’s promised wall along the U.S.-Mexico border will “move forward” this summer.
“I think something in the neighborhood of 100 counties from across the nation have shown interest and are starting to put together their prototypes,” Kelly said Wednesday on Fox News’s “The First 100 Days.”
“But I think by late spring, early summer, we’ll have some prototypes and then we’ll be able to move forward into the summer. We’re going to get at it as quick as we can.”
Kelly appeared alongside Attorney General Jeff Sessions as the pair conducted a two-day tour of America’s southern border with scheduled stops in El Paso and San Diego.
White House budget director Mick Mulvaney said Thursday that the funding for the controversial border wall must appear in the upcoming bill to fund the government.
“We want wall funding,” he told the Associated Press. “We want [immigration] agents. Those are our priorities.”

I’m assuming that ‘100 counties’ should be ‘100 companies’.
They should get some good proposals out of that many. Hopefully
they will get this process into gear and move forward.
And while part of the border has been blocked off. It's time to get the job done....stand back....and see what more has to be done.
We are a country with laws.
Sneak into that cr** hole called Mexico and get caught....and see what happens.
They should make the laying of the first break into a huge huge PR party.
Donald knows Showmanship and they should arrange something symbolic, very splashy.

I give Kelly and Sessions a lot of credit for going down thee. It gives them a chance to talk to the border agents. I’m sure the agents are pleased to see them.
At least they’re not handing out teddy bears and soccer balls!
