We should just outsource executions to Oregon. They know how to kill people.
They’re afraid the drugs might kill somebody..............
Lethal injection is becoming a joke. There are many alternatives so why bother fighting over drugs.
Why is it not approved? Too dangerous?
I am wondering if this is an FDA career liberal bureaucrat EFF YOU to President Trump. I wonder if he knows about this. We shall see I guess.
Just hang the SOBs!
There’s freaking books on how to make it at home.
Texas should make its own and tell the FDA to go to hell.
Or burn a particularly sadistic death row inmate alive as a new means of punishment.
The FDA will be falling over themselves to approve Pent.
‘The FDA seized’
A revealing phrase. It implies or even confirms that yet another bureaucracy has its own police force.
It also confirms that the inevitable outcome of any regulatory dispute is strongarm tactics by the government.
And liberals wonder why we oppose ‘common sense’ gun control?
Execute murderers the same way they execute the unborn. Fair is fair.
Since when is sodium thiopental not approved in the US? I used to use it from work then it became unavailable since everyone switched to propfol and manufacturers cut back the production of it.
I provided sedation in an oral surgeons office and would give it for wisdom teeth extraction. It’s a great drug.
Just say it’s for abortions.
The feds have no constitutional right or authority to meddle in or interfere with medication issues. Those issues legally belong to the states.
Well, we tried it their way, seems like the next sensible step is just go for the bolt gun, pretty sure they’d have little trouble finding someone who would shift jobs from the slaughter plant to a cushy job at a prison.
I don’t get the obsession with lethal injection anyway. You have firing squad (which was used in Utah a few years ago) and the electric chair, none of which require any stall tactics about how Anesthesia A is bad, but Anesthesia B is acceptable, but B can’t be found for sale, so let’s debate in court for years about if we can use Anesthesia C.
We make plenty of bullets and rope domestically
Lead injections would work, and there’s lots of us here in TX that have the injectors.
Seems to me the FDA is getting ready to meet Trump’s ax.
Yeah, you wouldn’t want potentially dangerous drugs used in an execution. [eyeroll]
Sounds more like lib embeds at FDA using excuses to implement their own policy preferences, or else throwing their weight around to show who’s the boss.
