RE:”Trump made a major campaign promise on the Wall, it was very popular here. Many said he was lying at the time including Obama, now its time for him to prove he wasn't rather than tell congress to take the hit for more deficits or taxes.
....
And he will honor that pledge. He needs seed money to start the wall. “

And if he gets it from Mexico like he promised everyone wins.

If he tries to hit up taxpayers or runs deficits to get it then only trouble will result, only Democrats win.

But he should tell the Democrats and some of the squishy GOPe sell-outs that if they don’t appropriate the money, he will build the wall with money he takes from all sanctuary cities, states and universities.

Excellent idea.

Why can't they take some of that 5000 billion dollars of waste, fraud and abuse Ben Carson found at HUD and direct some of it towards the wall?

Another excellent idea.

He may not need the money and can focus on this as a negotiating point. Keeps them from attacking other things. He is a master of redirection.

Take my photo.

Label it “Surprised, but very pleased.”

The exact quote is :” Democratic aides signaled that they wouldn’t accept a bill without the cost-sharing payments intended to keep insurers invested in the health care law.”

I wouldn't expect many Dems to vote for a budget now.

The only reason Trump would need to bribe Dems to vote for a budget is if he cant pull together the GOP House and Senate votes to pass one. Some things never change.

Gauntlets starting to be thrown down - he’s been very patient so far but that will change if Ryan and McConnell (especially Ryan) don’t get on the side of the People who put them in power - with expectations of them actually keeping some promises.

a demand Democrats said sours negotiations and makes a government shutdown more likely. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Good. America voted FOR the wall.

That means fewer Americans will vote for the Dem party in 2018.

Ryan needs to pull this one out and get that wall started! NOW! Make America Great Again! If not, there will be fewer whacko Dems in Congress, either way we win.

I hope he pulls the opposite of Obama, instead of instructing public facing agencies to turn the screws on the public by shutting down national parks and the like, directing government employees to minimize the impact to the public. Close toll booths at national parks and post warnings that visitors are welcome, but proceed at their own risk and liability. After a few weeks of that, the non-disclosure public might start to wonder what the deal really was in the last shut down, and how much government is really necessary.

He promised the wall how it is funded is irrelevant. The wall was funded in the Bush administration. Congress needs to pony up.

RE:”$20B over 4 years is pocket change.”

Great, so Trump should be able to get that in savings from Sanctuary cities cut spending and then start building that wall anytime after.

Does congress need to pass a bill saying any $$$ cut from those places goes to the wall?

Those who voted for Trump believing he would get the $$$ from Mexico instead of me can't object to that.

The Stupid Party wants to undercut the one thing, above all else, which got Trump elected, and preserved their majorities in both the House and Senate. They don`t call them the Stupid Party for nothing.

This next shut down President Trump should let it be known that the furloughed workers do not get pay for the time they didn’t work.

IF K Street doesn't want a wall then there will be no wall.

K Street runs the GOP and the MSM runs the DEMS. I just figured this out this election cycle. Man am I slow....
