It can build four subs at a time.
When this enclosed submarine factory begins operation later this year, the Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co. (BSHIC) will be able to quickly build nuclear submarines. Assembling SSNs in a building also provides the advantage of sheltering against the weather, not to mention nosy spy satellites.
Starting later this year, China's new submarine factory on the Yellow Sea will churn out nuclear-powered attack submarinesalso known as SSNsall but ensuring that the sub program of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) will be a deadly global force.
Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industrial Corporation is putting the finishing touches on its new facility, which will start production this year. BSHIC, based in Huludao, Liaoning Province, is China's only builder of nuclear submarines. It previously built the Type 091, 093 nuclear attack submarines (SSN) and Type 092 and 094 nuclear ballistic missile submarine (SSBN). Why is this building such a big deal? Simple, really: inside a superstructure, submarines are hidden from snoops, spies, and satellites. It also provides a controlled environment for development and construction.

DETROIT CADILLAC PLANT
Chinese is a Nationality, not a race.
All caps means nothing.
Enjoy being a minority smoking pole.
Enjoy being a true-to-life bigot.
The nation of Japan does have the shortest (on average) people in the world while the Dutch have the tallest.
In related news, the US is building a factory for building large portable magnets.
Agreed!
Thanks!
What do you call deliberate and willful ignorance aimed to deceive those whom you address into ignoring the evidence before your eyes for your own venal purposes. There has to be a word for it, because it has to rank among the greatest evils in the world - you know, the art practiced by John Podesta and his ilk.
You have to understand the beauty of virtual production - to use another self-deceiving buzzword of the times.
It’s not bigoted to dislike commie bastards.
I for one go a long way out of my way to avoid buying anything made in China. Of course it’s not always possible given the sheer number of items manufactured there.
My uncle was on hill 677 in April of 1951. 224 2PPCLI took on thousands of those Chinese and kicked them in the teeth. That hill wasn’t taken.
If you’re calling someone bigoted for not liking the Chinese or using slang terms, I would question your loyalties and your judgement.
I really don't care if you use slang terms or not. You are free to reflect upon your own level of education and upbringing as you choose. The issue I have with you is your unfounded blatant racism. People of all races and nationalities fall somewhere in the Bell Curve of Intelligence; and, Chinese people ted to fall on the upper end. To assume inferiority in intellect for anyone's military apparatus is a recipe for disaster.
I buy American every chance I get, and I have been bitching at our corporate leadership ever since Chinese goods began to supplant our own.
If you want to question my loyalty because I can judge people on their own merit rather than prejudice, than so be it. I just hope you are not one of our military planners who must counter threats appropriately.
I am not referring to Americans or Canadians etc, I was simply referring to the actual country.
Yulin festival is another good example of their culture.
They are not our friends, it’s really that simple. I never said they weren’t intelligent.
I have no issues with Asians living elsewhere who are either legal immigrants or second generations etc.
