Seeking to double down on an effort expanding early childhood education for which he has been widely praised, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan on Monday to offer free, full-day prekindergarten to 3-year-olds.
Four years ago, Mr. de Blasio made an ambitious proposal to provide publicly funded prekindergarten to all 4-year-olds the centerpiece of his mayoral campaign. His plan called for more than tripling the number of available seats, to 70,000, within two years. Although some expected there would be significant bumps in the rollout, it went relatively smoothly. It is too soon to say whether the program will affect outcomes like test scores or high school graduation rates, but even sharp critics of the mayors overall approach to education say that he deserves credit for making the program more widely available.
On Monday, speaking at a public school in the Bronx, the mayor did not propose such a rapid expansion to 3-year-olds. He said the city planned to start in two districts, District 7 in the Bronx and District 23 in Brooklyn.

If the commie bastards keep this up, they be stealing all of them out of the womb. Keeping the ones they like and killing the rest. Hey fag boy. Let’s let them be children for a while before we start brainwashing and programming them. Moron.
Children of the elites will be exempt.
Gotta start early if you’re gonna convince them to be whatever insanity is coming down the pike after genderism.
I understand the convenience this offers to working parents, especially single parents. I’m concerned that the intent is really to start the indoctrination and imprinting of values at ever younger ages. The government will have more authority than the parents or the family structure, unless the parents
are paying close attention, and decide to deliberately push back against such Progressive-Creep in their homes.
Soon you will be able to get late term abortions of your baby right in his preschool.
True, right after parents are spayed, neutered and, in general, NOT able to spawn another lost soul.
“Children must be handed over to the government as soon as possible.”
Right, why at 3? If the child survives its liberal parents’ agenda and is born, let the government take over child rearing right away!
Actually, though, then the liberal public breast-in (out?) nazis would need to find something else to do for that first year or two after childbirth.
Of course, with all the illegal moslem Democrat voters coming in, it wouldn’t really matter.
More socialist schemes, from the Marxist mayor, funded by crony-capitalist, 0.01% oligarch earnings on our highly financialized economy, funneled through Wall Street.
People think these two sides are in opposition to each other, but in fact, they are complimentary parts of the same system.
They should call it what it is. Taxpayer funded Daycare.
Thanks but no thanks. I kept mine home until PreK and then only 3 1/2 days per week at church based PreK & K AND I paid for it myself.
It takes a village. Sound familiar?
The communists would take the kids right at birth, but they don’t want to be changing diapers.
They hate the fact that the family is the way that a value system is imparted to the child. They want to take over that, and teach the kid that chopping your dick off is the ultimate ecstasy, and that murdering babies in the womb is heaven, and that if they are White they are scum, and that they are probably gay, and that at age 60 they should take a pill and end it all.
‘Hey teacher, leave them kids alone.”
Hopefully his disastrous term will swing the position back to a republican.
Not one in the sense that we think of, more like a senate or house republican :)
Still better than this nut.
That’s an awfully expensive way to provide more free time for welfare queens.
Parents, if you can’t afford to raise your kids by homeschooling them, don’t have them. You are abusing them...
