The White House said Monday that the president packed his schedule with events to mark his first 100 days in office because he is “very proud” of what he’s been able to accomplish.
In a tweet last week, President Trump dismissed the 100-day measure as a “ridiculous standard.” But he later put together a series of events to highlight his accomplishments, capped by a rally Saturday in Pennsylvania.
“There is this artificial number that gets thrown out,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer said at the daily press briefing.
The rally also vies with the annual White House Correspondence Association dinner in Washington, where the president is traditionally the main attraction but which Mr. Trump is boycotting.
The accomplishments in Mr. Trump’s first 100 days as president include a record number of executive orders that rolled back federal regulations, economic growth and a soaring stock market. However, Mr. Trump has lacked major legislative accomplishments, including the failure to repeal Obamacare.
Mr. Spicer said that the White House was providing information about the first 100 days in response to the overwhelming interest from reporters, despite the arbitrary measure of roughly three months in office.
“If you look at the totality of what we’ve accomplished on immigration, job creation, on trade, it is significant what he has been able to achieve,” he said.

The President has accomplished a remarkable record in the first 100 days. The MSM will downplay the story and he can only depend on FOX News and FOX business to get the word out.
It would be a wise expenditure to take out full page ads in major newspapers setting out the achievements clearly. Do not try to compare with others, just set out what all he has done. The way he is operating he is on the way to becoming the president who has accomplished the most in any 4 or 8 year period ever.

I’ve never seen an elected official work harder at keeping his promises — and this despite headwinds that are hard to find any parallel to, unless you want to go back all the way to Abraham Lincoln.

The whole “100 days” thing strikes me as arbitrary and silly.
