I have no problem with people enjoying his podcasts and liking some of his points of view. Where I part company is with people who live in an alternate universe where “he’s over” his relationships with men. Especially when he posts photos holding hands with his black boyfriend when they vacation in that bastion of religiosity - Key West!

And how anyone can believe someone can be gay, Catholic and Jewish, is beyond me. It’s akin to believing a man can be a woman.

I have a very good friend who was very active in Republican politics in WA State, married to a very attractive, extremely smart woman. This gent was very fervently Catholic, and went every Sunday and all the Days of Obligation.

In 12 years he had sex with his wife five times. She finally divorced him, very much against his wishes. He is doing the best he can to deal with the fact that he is attracted to men, but is a committed Catholic Christian. All those priests who struggle with homosexuality - who is being naive?

As for being Jewish, its biology, not religion. He’s Jewish.

Homosexuality exists. Full stop. You can change the condition from psychological to normative on a voice vote of a bunch of head-shrinkers, but its as real at the nose on your face.

You CAN be Christian and gay. If its beyond you, you didn’t grow up Catholic. I did, and all but one of the priests who ran the school I attended was gay. Two, actually. The other who wasn’t was a bonified war hero, and lost his wife, then became a priest.

I know three ex-SPECWAR guys who became clergy. Action and reaction. One was an assassin in the VietNam War, and then a spy in Europe for 28 years. The other was a Gulf War guy, and then this Irish priest. The Irishman killed a lot of peoople in the war. He was one of the nicest, most broken people I’ve ever met.

Gay and Christian? Please. Common as at least pyrite, not as common as quartz. How can alcoholism be considered a sickness, but homosexuality not be?

Sorry, your post is a hodgepodge of college millennial thinking - no matter how old you are. I can't even begin to make sense of it.

Sorry it’s above your head. I’ll use smaller words next time.

I always hear that creaky joke from people who simply can’t get simple facts through their tiny brains. Please, feel free to think that one can be gay, Catholic and Jewish at the same time and that Milo is a reformed homosexual.

For others: on Facebook yesterday, Milo was bragging about his $12 Million windfall while putting up photos of his bags from Guccis and other up-market Italianware. And here I thought he would spend the money on dope!

I don’t think he’s reformed. I think he was raped as a child. I think he turned a setback into a tool. I pity the guy and pray for him. I don’t think anybody is reformed from rape. You recover and move on, but you never get over it.

I think his life sucks, and when he talks about what everybody owes families who stay married and raise their children right I feel bad for him.

I’m glad he is evicerating liberals. His arguments on the culture, politics, and education are valid on their face and in their substance.

After what the press did to him a couple of months ago, I’m glad he got the money.

You got me. I feel bad about people who got raped as a kid. I had friends who were raped as kids. They didn’t have Milo’s resilience. Most of them self medicated.

Your suspicious of the guy. You should be. I am too. I hope he continues to support the positions he has been staking out for the last two years.

You keep hitting the Jewish thing. He’s Jewish like I’m Irish. Can’t change that, unfortunately. That leaves gay and Catholic, which we’ve established is not only possible, but if you could dope the clergy with Sodium Pentathol, you’d find its more common than you’d suspect, especially in Rome.

So then there is just the issue about him living his faith, which he is not, which is the source of the dissonance. That’s between him and God, and he’ll have to account for it, as we all must. We may be saved, we are still accountable.

You brought up the Jewish thing. I didn’t.

And you brought it up as a point of dissonance. Are you a last word kinda gal? Get the last word and it makes up for a lack of argument.

My arguments are based on reality. Your arguments are made on how you wish to see people, not how they really are. Can we discontinue this conversation? It’s getting us nowhere.
