Good news: Trump will appoint twice as many judges as Obama

The Obama era of leftist courts is ending before our eyes. President Trump will be appointing twice as many judges as Obama. He may have the opportunity to appoint half of the federal judiciary. This is huge.

Only one circuit court had a majority of Democrat judges when Obama was elected. By the time he left, he had packed nine of the thirteen circuit courts with his leftist activists. Obama inherited 54 openings for these appointments. Harry Reid "went nuclear' and cut Republican senators out of the approval process.

Trump is now the beneficiary. He has compiled a magnificent list of conservative nominees. And he has 121 vacancies to fill.

Not only that, but 219 more federal judges will be eligible to retire by the end of 2017. It could be even more revolutionary, although the GOP Senate leadership plans to sabotage Trump.

Trump will only be able to fill these slots as long as the Republicans keep at least 50 votes in the Senate. It is therefore imperative that we keep the Senate majority, hence the Judiciary Committee majority, in 2018.

Cautious optimism: we have a history of nominating Trojan Horses to the bench.

But the Dems, they never fail to get 35 year old members in good standing of the communist party on the bench.

It is ‘great news’

IF our law schools are graduating enough Constitutional, nonglobalists with the judicial temperament to judge.

As we have seen, just being a ‘republican’ is no guarantee

The 2 most critical issues that are absolute requirements to be addressed during this administration are federal judges and illegal aliens.

While everything else is very important, if the 2 above are the only things President Trump & America wins on during this administration the election has been a huge success.

Not such the great news as it seems: “Retired” judges are often given the biggest cases.

“Senior Status” is the term for such “retired”-but-not-retired-judges. I presume these are who the article refers to, given that it predicts how many retirements there will be.

Repeal the 17th Amendment through an Article V convention of states, and be done with social justice judges.

That would work. But what would be better would be Congress growing a spine and stripping jurisdiction form the Fed Courts to hear the SJW cases. Everyone thinks that the Fed Court are deities, but at the end of the day, Congress is the boss.

Are you kidding??? Writing that you are LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ on your law school app bumps your LSAT up 10 points.

When you see “Retired: Sitting by Assignment” on the opinion it means the lawsuit was shopped to a judge.

End the practice of blue slips. That’s how we got the Ninth Circuit.

Great, Trump has already faced activism on the courts, so he’ll be good on this.

The only reason reps have two year, rather than one year terms, was the horrible road infrastructure of 18th century America. A common saying was, “Where annual elections end, tyranny begins.”

To allow SIX YEAR terms for any elected pol was to invite the tyranny that we have.

So-called senators are roving, statewide pols with no allegiance to anything beyond their reelection.

Spines will grow once again, and not before, senators are immune from a lunatic media and pop culture.
