President Trump kicked off his first presidential trip abroad by visiting Saudi Arabia, where he gave a speech Sunday to leaders from 50 Muslim countries about his vision for U.S.-Muslim relations. Trump is the only U.S. president to visit the Middle East on his first official trip overseas, and he used the occasion to talk about the great civilizational achievements of the Muslim world and the ways terrorism and Islamic radicalism have obstructed economic growth and prosperity in the region.
Then, he confronted these leaders with strong words about the unacceptability of coexisting with the violence radicalism brings: “There can be no tolerating it, no accepting it, no excusing it, and no ignoring it. Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith. Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death.”
While Trump emphasized America’s commitment to fighting terrorism around the globe and with working with its allies, he also made it clear to the Muslim leaders gathered Sunday that America will only achieve limited success if these countries don’t take the initiative in the fight against radical Islam:
Terrorism has spread across the world. But the path to peace begins right here, on this ancient soil, in this sacred land. America is prepared to stand with you—in pursuit of shared interests and common security. But the nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves, for their countries, and for their children.

I looked to see if the writer was going to admit to making a joke but it looks like it was serious.. I sure missed that - did he bother to list any of those achievements?

The Saudi royals had a good laugh after his speech and when he left. The only thing that impressed them was Melania. No doubt they thought she would be a welcome addition to their harem. Face it. Islamic culture has never been nor will it ever be compatible with Western values, practices and institutions. Nor will it ever reform. The barbarism is endemic.

When the Saudi's and other Sunnis declare that islam is a tolerant religion of peace, Trump declares that, given that fact, they will help us destroy all mosques and institutions that preach and teach jihad.
And given that islam is a tolerant religion of peace, all radicals and jihadis should be beheaded for spreading a blasphemous form of islam.
democrats, RINO’s and the media need to stop enabling terrorism, as well.
He needs to tell John McCain and the European Union to stop enabling terrorism.
OK, to the point:
All of Islam is based on two cardinal principles:
1) Dar Al Islam
2) Dar Al Hareb
Dar Al Islam means a entire world where all human beings are Muslim, in other words, the Garden of Eden. This is the prime directive. Get everybody to be Muslim and SUBMIT either through choice or via the sword. This means the use of Jihad.
Dar Al Hareb means a world under the sword where Islam is at war with the planet until such time, they can achieve the above, Dar Al Islam. This means perpetual war with the Infidel until point No. 1 is achieved.
That is the TRUE belief of all Muslims no matter where they live or who they are. It reminds me of the old joke:
What is the difference between Radical Islam and Moderate Islam?
Radical Muslims want to kill you. Moderate Muslims want the radical Muslim to kill you.
Yeah ... I’m sure they are going to get right on that.
Especially Saudi Arabia who we just sold billions of dollars of military equipment and technology. Yes, they will use it for good I’m sure.
Actually they got that from the Hindus and brought the concept Westward back to the Middle East and on to Europe.
Most so-called “Islamic achievements” are similar. When most of your civilizational learning is centered around memorizing the Koran and Hadiths, it doesn’t leave much intellectual energy for more productive pursuits.
Some interviews with one of the young Princes and others sounded very encouraging. Gonna be a long, hard trek but Trump is the man to make it happen.
Of course, if he actually manages some sort of peace for Israel, the whole deal changes to a harbinger of the end times. Either way, Christians win.....
