'Conversion Therapy' Ban Getting Consideration by Massachusetts Legislature
New Boston Post ^ | 6/7/2017 | New Boston Post Editorial Board

In this country, you have the right to believe the lie that homosexuality and gender confusion are healthy, normal, or natural. But you don’t have the right to make others live that lie.

Yet, apparently, some Massachusetts legislators think they do.

That’s what’s at stake with a bill on Beacon Hill that would ban so-called “conversion therapy,” which consists of a therapist offering advice and techniques about how to leave behind same-sex attraction or transgenderism. ...

I believe it was the early Romans who prohibited several classes of people from holding public office: Those of illegitimate birth (bastards), eunuchs and homosexuals.
While these children had no choice in the matter, bastards were prohibited because, having no sense of their family past or history, they could not be trusted to operate for the good of the culture based on its history or traditions.
Eunuchs (castrated males) and homosexuals because they could not and/or would not sire children and would, therefore, most likely have no abiding interest in preserving the culture for future generations.
While there are a number of exceptions, I’ll let YOU tell me what sort of folks we have in public office in mush of the West.
I suspect these nations have employed technology to compress into a few years what it took the Romans over 2,000 to achieve: TOTAL AND UTTER CULTURAL COLLAPSE!!!
IS AMERICA NEXT?????
Do Europe’s “leaders” have a stake in the future?
One noteworthy reality about Europe’s current political leadership is summarised here by Phil Lawler:

* Macron, the newly elected French president, has no children.
* German chancellor Angela Merkel has no children.
* British prime minister Theresa May has no children.
* Italian prime minister Paolo Gentiloni has no children.
* Holland’s Mark Rutte, Sweden’s Stefan Löfven, Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, Scotland’s Nicola Sturgeon—ALL HAVE NO CHILDREN!
*Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the European Commission, has no children.
So a grossly disproportionate number of the people making decisions about Europe’s future have no direct personal stake in that future.

What this is really about: making sure that there is an ever-increasing number of members in the government-certified victim group.
Did you think this was still the land of the free?

If it is illegal to help a crooked man go straight ... isn't it also illegal to help a straight man go crooked? No more queer recruitment, then. No more indecent exposure in schools, no more abuse of children, no more super non-constitutional rights, no more same-sex adoption, no more sensitivity training. If the knife is going to cut, be sure it cuts both ways.

They can’t stop a Christian church from offering Christian counseling (and not charging to do so) which uses conversion therapy from a Christian perspective.

This will outlaw RAPE COUNSELING!

Most homosexuals were sexually molested as children.

That is RAPE!

This law would therefore outlaw RAPE COUNSELING!

Ping to the latest whacko Puritan moralizing that the North East wishes to impose on themselves, and eventually the rest of the nation.

Same sh*t, different century.

Someone once told me “you don’t really know about life until you have children.” I’d say that is true for most people.

I’m frankly surprised that this lunatic lefty state of Marxistchusetts hasn’t already passed such a fascist law, for both children AND adults.

Already banned in New Jersey I believe - what’s equally as outrageous is that professional groups such as the American Psychological Association have apparently not raised so much as a whisper in objection to this legislative interference into their professional practice.....

This kind of stuff will only hasten the collapse of our society and the destruction of the USA.

Yep - cause more homos to commit suicide. What could be more depressing than facing a life of getting boned up the bum by thousands of different men, then being told there’s no way out?

Everything I've read suggests that "conversion therapy" is medical quackery. The "success stories" are people who become closet cases with a marriage of convenience as cover.

Having said that, all sorts of medical quackery remains perfectly legal, from homeopathic medicine (billion-fold dilutions of toxins/allergens) to herbal/aroma therapies (sniffing candles to cure everything from chicken pox to cancer).

So the fact that every quack remedy under the sun is legal while another is singled out tells us that this is about politics rather than psychiatric medicine.
