Put The Blame on the Trump Haters
Townhall.com ^ | June 16, 2017 | Michael Reagan

Posted on 06/16/2017 7:05:40 AM PDT by Kaslin

It's impossible to argue with Rush Limbaugh.

When Rush said the nut job who shot House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others at a D.C. baseball field on Wednesday was radicalized by the leftwing establishment media, he's absolutely correct.

Everyone in Washington has been urging us not get into a political blame-game like the ones that followed the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Gifford in 2011 or the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

Pardon my French, but "BS" on that.

The shooter was obviously radicalized by the constant drumbeat of fake news and blind Trump hate in the media.

He was a nasty loser, a Republican hater and a Bernie Sanders worshipper who dreamed of President Rachel Maddow.

We're lucky he's dead and that -- thanks only to the presence of the heroic Capitol Police security detail that guards Scalise around the clock -- no one else is.

I wasn't surprised that some lunatic lefty would try to murder a bunch of Republicans or Trump supporters.

With all that hate in the media, I was surprised it took so long.

Since last November we haven't been able to turn on the news - radio, TV or print - without being bombarded by the liberal establishment's vitriolic hatred of Trump.

We've had riots and window smashing on the Berkeley campus to protest the booking of a conservative speaker.

We've had Madonna talking about burning down the White House and comedienne Kathy Griffin holding up a fake severed head that looked like Donald Trump.

We've had Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" adapted to show a bloody symbolic assassination of a Trump-like figure on stage in New York City's Central Park.

And of course liberals defended it as a clever work of art, a brave act of resistance by the artistic community, not a cheap, creepy political stunt.

Meanwhile, in an era of nonstop liberal Trump Hate and "Fake News," you can't have a civil conversation about politics with anyone in a workplace or on a golf course.

Teachers and Hollywood actors who support Trump, or who are conservative Republicans, meet behind closed doors and are afraid to speak their minds for fear of losing their jobs.

There are Republicans in Washington and even some in the conservative media who want us to play the "Kumbaya" card and not use this week's attack on Republican congressmen for political purposes.

But not me.

I remember what happened after Timothy McVeigh blew up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City and killed 168 people in 1995, when I had a national talk show.

Bryant Gumbel, then the host of NBC's "Today" show, no doubt speaking on behalf of his liberal brethren in the MSM, blamed McVeigh's act of terrorism on conservative talk radio.

He didn't use the term "radicalized," but Gumbel named Rush, me and Ollie North, who'd been in radio for only two weeks, for driving Tim McVeigh to the point of committing mass murder.

I tried to get on the "Today" show to do a rebuttal to Gumbel's creep shot, but they wouldn't let me on.

Eleven years later, when Democratic Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was shot and six people were killed by a madman in an Arizona shopping center, the liberals blamed guns and Sarah Palin - and still do today.

Liberals are in shock that the ball field shooter was a Bernie supporter, but I'm not.

Liberals are the ones who've been spewing all the hate talk, accusing Trump of crimes for which there is no evidence and calling for his impeachment.

They are the ones who need to cool their rhetoric and come to grips with the reality that Bernie was screwed by Hillary but Hillary lost to President Trump fair and square.

More than that, liberals need to start holding themselves accountable for the hate, trouble and violence their deranged or dangerous constituents are causing all across the USA.

Led by the New York Times and the Washington Post. Both guilty of criminal inciting of insurrection in my opinion.

None of the predictions about the MSM and liberal punditry in general dying and going away have come true. In fact the MSM is more powerful than ever. They are more powerful than the Democrat Party which is just the political arm of the MSM. Their job is to tell us what to think and what is truth and what is fake regardless of reality. They are succeeding. Reality is what they say it is.

The calendar may say 2017 but it is really 1984 every year from now on.

Sorry Mr. Reagan. It’s not going to happen. The radicalized Left are Useful Idiots to the Enemy Media.

They’ve lost the POWER they had to write the narrative that kept the Socialist Democrat Party in power, and they’re not happy about it.

POWER is everything to the MSM and the Socialists. They’re not above killing for it, either. (Re: Clinton Crime Family).

If Liberals were to realize what they could turn loose, they would have a cardiac arrest. For what they WANT is a Progressive “Utopia”; what they WILL get is warlord vs. warlord. The guys with the biggest guns rule.

Our patience and our quiet acceptance will end. One spark is all that is needed. The silent coup could erupt into the ugliest battles ever; making The War of Yankee Aggression seem like a church social.

We’ve been warned.

Has either Barack Hussein Obama or Hillary Clinton issued any statements denouncing the shooting of Republican lawmakers by James Hodgkinson?

and yet Michael you managed to do your best to attack Trump. Only now when bullets are flying you recognize this - better late than never - get in the back.

I think this is a good time to remind ourselves of the conservative enablers who's #NEVERTRUMP rhetoric and vitrol helped for a layer of wide justification to this shooter

Sure I'm missing many - but look president Trump is doing things Conservatives have just paid lip service too and he gets the most tepid of defenses if not - oh he had had it coming.

This half assed attempt at coup is so transparent as to be laughable. Its like a wedding planner is running and were on a time line.

Continuing Resolution mr. president in no uncertain terms people need to know you'll get rid of Mueller and shut off the spigot if they don't get the steps down to the new dance.

This president is something special. He is showing at almost every level in the pipeline (media, government, ngo, business, academia, entertainment) the corrupt players that form then network the globalists are trying to use for use to shepherd ourselves into the new serfdom.

President Trump is an Enemy to the Global Warming Hoax, The United Nations Scam, Open Borders, Islam, Wasteful Spending, Bad Trade Deals, Corrupt Gov of Mexico, Stupid Wars, and in General B.S.

He is also on of the few unabashed defenders of Christianity. God bless president Trump.

Bring it Mueller you've never come up against anything like a Trump - more than likely he has long time agents infiltrated in Mueller's staff already - whos the mole Bob?

-- Sorry Mr. Reagan. It's not going to happen. --

Amen to that. It's been my belief, all my thinking life, that to call on others to change is a fool's errand. In an abusive relationship, the abused can't change the abuser. Reagan is appealing to the abuser to change. Won't happen due to a reasoned appeal. The nature of the beast, in the abuser's case, is that they are abusive.

It is up to the abused person to call out the abuse for what they are, and to make distance from them. If the abuser wants to change, that is up to them. Meanwhile, they are dangerous and need to be viewed as dangerous, and treated as dangerous.

I was skimming through my FB feed, something I do maybe once a day. Somebody re-posted an article from RawStory, on Kellyanne Conway saying of she was shot, half of twitter would applaud. People that I know to be liberal disagreed with that, and said the number would (and rightfully should ) be much higher. Estimates were 65 - 75%.

These are abusive people. I'm not surprised that the abused people are reluctant to admit the truth, and I am not surprised that the press, which is also a bunch of abusers, asserts that it had clean hands.

Michael Reagan did have his doubts about Donald Trump during the primaries. Who didn’t? But he voted for him in the General election and supported him ever since.

Michael Reagan: The White House needs office help

Meanwhile, it's becoming harder and harder to support Trump, who continues to be his administration's worst enemy and main saboteur.

In speech to Congress, Trump needs to be presidential

But after four weeks on the job, President Trump should stop catering to his base.

Michael Reagan to Trump: 'Shut Up' and Stop Whining About Russia Probe

"If he had been in, gosh, any of our wars, he's the guy that would have given a rifle to the enemy and the bullets and taken off the safety. And then yelled and screamed, `why did you shoot me?'
