The comatose college student who was released from a North Korean prison last week died Monday afternoon, his family said.
Otto Warmbier, a 22-year-old University of Virginia undergrad who served 18 months behind bars in the hermit kingdom for alleged anti-state acts, died at 2:20 p.m. at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to a family statement obtained by NBC News.

It was called the Young Pioneers Group. Out of China, they said they specialized in ‘going places your parents don’t want you to go’. IIRC, Castro’s youth in Cuba were called the Young Pioneers. Is there a connection? I don’t know, but we really don’t know the poor guy actually stole a sign....we only know he confessed to it. I have always wondered if he was being made an example. Sadly, from what I have read, he has been nearly brain dead since April, 2016. IIRC, his parents have custody of his brain scans from North Korea, done in April last year. He had destruction in all areas of his brain then, probably likely beatings. I suspect he was on life support all this time and his parents, after seeing his situation, pulled the plug. Lots of speculation, but logical. Sad for all the Warmbier family.

North Korea is no tourist destination. Its run by a bunch of freaking nutbags.Its an extremely dangerous place especially if they know you are American.
I wouldn't advise going to places that the drug cartels run Mexico, Bolovia and Columbia either.

I am not even sure he took the poster. The video Norks showed about it is so grainy and perhaps digitally altered that you can’t tell who is taking it.

The body can’t function without the brain and the doctors panel on Fox said most of his tissue was damaged. I wondered then just how in the hell he was able to walk out to the aircraft like we saw. People in comas are usually in a hospital bed unable to move their legs let alone walk. Guess I learned something new here.
Then why hasn't Trump freed the other three being held?
This has nothing to do with President Trump. North Korea freed him because they didn't want him dying in their custody. Had he reached this stage last year then they would have freed him when Obama was in office.
To be sure, the North Koreans don't really need actual proof. When they want to make an example out of someone, they will simply do it and create whatever "proof" they deem necessary for the situation.
I heard tonight on the news that President Trump SEND A PLANE; and a person with a DEMAND that Otto be released.
Nothing was said about whether we called ahead .. but know this President, I suspect he DID NOT.
Surprise is always a good move.
