Poll: Positive views of U.S. economy on the rise
CBS ^ | 20 Jun 2017 | Jennifer De Pinto, Fred Backus, Kabir Khanna and Anthony Salvanto

Americans' views of the economy are the on the rise and as high as they've been in 15 years. But whether President Trump gets approval for his handling of it depends heavily on partisanship. The same is true of whether people feel he is bringing business acumen to government. And overall, Republicans are also more likely to see the President as having accomplished more than his predecessors – while others say he's done less, or the same.

Positive views of the economy have been inching up since last fall, and 64 percent of Americans now say the economy is in good shape, the highest percentage since May 2002. Majorities of all partisan stripes rate the nation's economy positively. Thirty-four percent say the economy is in bad shape.

Doing good.

Isn’t that White appropriation.

Where do minorities turn in their increased income?

Welcome to media BS.

By saying - “Thirty-four percent say the economy is in bad shape.” Is really saying “Sixty-six percent says the economy is in better shape.” (Or improving)

If you only present the glass as half empty, then you won’t allow the reader to say that is good even though you still have a half glass to work with to refill the top half. All is lost with just as much to use as you used already to show, at least, a balance of success versus failure. And you have the same amount left to improve. The media lies in strange ways.

A lot of winning, is avoidance of losing. Too much motion to a fringe in either direction is a waste.

The best direction to go isn’t left or right. It’s up, and that requires getting on board with the Lord again. I believe in 20/20 hindsight, Donald Trump will be seen as having taken the earthly helm of a remarkable American movement wrought by God. Whether Trump jumped in front of a parade or not, at least he understood what to do with it.

In the book of Ecclesiastes, the author (probably Solomon) asks why either sin too much or try too hard to be righteous. Both efforts bringing troubles on earth. The latter may sound like an oxymoron, but the problem is that fallen man only has a limited understanding of righteousness. It can’t be pushed without limit without falling, ironically, into sin. That’s why “far right” just as much as “far left” is such a folly. And Donald is not going to goad America into attempting it.

34% is the hard-left coalition and will poll in opposition to anything that is good news for the US every single time.

“34% is the hard-left coalition and will poll in opposition to anything that is good news for the US every single time.”

I don’t disagree. But my point is that this is the type of misleading BS the media uses to hide the truth. The truth is that 66% thought the economy, which was failing or at best breaking even when the new administration took control and this report to their coming in was generated, is being totally disregarded here and the real truth of whether there is success in the efforts of the new administration is being hidden. The public will read and will see only what they are told. If something isn’t black because they were told it by the media, then they know it isn’t black. But they don’t have any idea what color that something really is because they will never get past that point. So instead of telling the truth about the poll, they present the negative only. And it is done on purpose as it is being done to misrepresent the poll. Therefore, it is a conscious lie.
