A U.S. Army howitzer is trolling the world thanks to a Trump-related message one soldier stamped on the gun.
A photo provided to The Daily Caller shows the word Covfefe stamped on the gun of an M109 Paladin.
A source told TheDC that an individual made the stamp, not the U.S. Army.
Twitter exploded about the possible meaning of covfefe when Trump made a typo in a tweet on May 30, accidentally writing, Despite the constant negative press covfefe.
He followed it up, Who can figure out the true meaning of covfefe ??? Enjoy!
Most Twitter users joked about the typo, but some oddly suggested it might be secret message to the Russians. Trump supporters on Twitter started changing their names to covfefe to show solidarity with the president.
Now, a service member with a sense of humor has gotten in on the action with the freshly painted howitzer.
That’s spray paint, not a stamp, you freaking unknowing journalists!
E4 Mafia strikes again.
Better check the battalion SOP for lettering size, placement, and color.
+1. Idiot urinalists.
The only thing in question is the placement. Looks like SOP brass interlocking stencils used to make all the other markings on the vehicle, but then again, the placement is often an optional “handle” allowed to visually quickly differentiate on the field of battle.
The writer is obviously from a sticker world because the overspray below the letters is just too obvious.
I love Coyfefe, and I don’t even know how to pronounce it properly. People always seem to know exactly what I mean, when I use it...and it makes them happy.
HAHAHA! **urinalists** HAHAHA!
You WIN the intranets! BRAVO!
Now, will some idiot start an investigation to identify the miscreant service member? A month or two ago, there was an investigation when a convoy flew Trump flags.
Railgunners ping.
On the bright side, the author didn't go off on a lunatic TDS rant and he DID call it a howitzer.
We have always called the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper the Atlanta urinal constipation here at FR.
The local bird cage liner in Akron, Ohio (Akron Beacon Journal ... formerly a great paper and flagship for the Knight Ridder Group) has been referred to for years as the Akron Reekin’ Urinal.
That doesn’t work when I use Google translate. Who knows with Google they would go out of the way to fix that so as to “debunk” it. Can’t believe anything anymore, from either side sometimes.
The only way I’ve seen it written out to pronounce is:
coe FEE fay
Who knows if that’s right, but I’ve seen it a couple of different times, so maybe. And like you said, it makes people happy when you use it, no matter how you pronounce it.
Have a covfefe day! :)
“Covfefe” would be an interesting name for a few newborns this Year Of Trump.
Oh, waitress - I’ll have another cup of covfefe to go with my order of schadenfreude pie.
