My sister lives in very Catholic Western NY and says that everyone she knows who's Catholic LOVES Pope Francis.

I would think that a corrupted church authority teaching falsehood would be worse than multiple denominations, especially since we’re seeing that with Pope Frankie and his cabal right now.
Again, if someone wants to take the Word from me and tells me just to believe what they say about it, without giving me a chance to check what they say against God’s own words?

Your pope is the face of the Catholic Church...Who in your religion is going to oppose his Globalist direction??? The cardinals and bishops for the most part will fall in line...And of course many of the priests will as well...
They have the public microphone...They will still call themselves the Catholic Church...And the world will accept them as the Catholic Church...
And this won't pass with a new pope, if there is one...The cardinals and bishops will make sure of that...You guys will have no place to go, unless you go with them...
I think he is out of his mind, the question I have is who would be in charge of this ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. As it is right now people can’t agree on anything anymore as it is and it isn’t getting any better. If the United States had not been united when they did, and way back then it was nip and tuck to get all the states to agree, in this day and age there would be no way they could pull it off. And Francis is dreaming about a world government? Maybe after some world wide catastrophe or another war which just about wiped out humanity and people have to start all over, but not until then do I see any possibility for a world government.
Oh I’m very sure. I follow Jesus’ words to follow Him and put my faith in Him and I will be saved. I am His child and I don’t need a middleman/organization for salvation.
I still belong to the pre- Vatican II Church and will continue. Nothing this jerk could say or do would disabuse me of that loyalty.

That sounds terribly boastful, and also overlooks the fact that unless you were the recipient of a special revelation directly from the Lord, you wouldn’t have a clue about salvation had the Word not been revealed to you through many middlemen and organizations over the centuries. So perhaps just a wee bit of humility is warranted. The Scriptures in many places warn us to be careful about self-assurance. Even Paul said he was working out his salvation in fear and trembling lest he lose his salvation.

Not boastful at all. When I say “no middlemen/organizations” I never excluded the Bible (God’s Word). But my salvation isn’t based on anything man or organizations do. It’s totally based on my actions and my trust in God’s promises to me. Of course I read the Bible. However, I don’t need a Priest to interpret it for me. Nor do I need someone to confess my sins to. If God hears my prayers, which I believe he does, he hears my confessions too. Why should I tell my sins to the Marxist/Communist priest who may be living a sinful life too?
I do need to surround myself with like minded Christians who help me stay connected to the Word and help keep me on the right path. We encourage each other on a daily basis.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
