That link mentions there was supposed to be active shooter training going on this week. Hopefully that is all it is.

One gate is shut, with traffic backing up.

"Earlier today, Marshall Space Flight Center
issued an alert about an "emergency situation"
near the Sparkman Center. Redstone later issued
a Tweet confirming reports of a possible active shooter."

"The Sparkman Center is the headquarters for the Army's
Aviation and Missile Command on the Arsenal.
An Arsenal spokesman was not immediately available
for comment."

"The Sparkman Center is at building 5301.
Authorities are asking people to avoid the area.
This week was supposed to be an active shooter training,
but Redstone officials have said today's lockdown
is not a drill."
