FBI agent indicted for alleged false statements in LaVoy Finicum shooting (OREGON STANDOFF)

An FBI agent has been indicted on federal accusations he lied about firing at Robert "LaVoy" Finicum last year.....

The agent will face allegations of making a false statement with intent to obstruct justice, according to sources familiar with the case.

The indictment stems from a more than year-long investigation by the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Justice. The agent will be identified when he's summoned to appear in U.S. District Court in Portland at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday......

Finicum's widow, Jeanette Finicum, has said she plans to sue Oregon State Police and the FBI for civil rights violations in her husband's death. The suit will allege that state police and the FBI used excessive force......

As Finicum left his truck, an FBI agent shot twice at Finicum, though none of the hostage team members admitted to discharging their firearms, the Deschutes County sheriff alleged. The county sheriff's office was tasked with investigating the Finicum shooting.

The Oregon investigators concluded that one agent fired at Finicum's truck, hitting it in the roof and missing the second shot. A state trooper later described to investigators seeing two rifle casings in the area where the FBI agents were posted. But detectives called to investigate didn't find the casings, police reports indicated......

No one being prosecuted for killing LaVoy here, just for lying about what they did.

I read here that the FBI shots were fired as Finicum exited the truck moving away from it and ending up being killed by Oregon State Police on the pretext of his actions at that moment.

Actions no doubt influenced by the shots being fired at him by the FBI agent now indicted.

It’s become pretty obvious the Finicum shooting was an assassination.

Yes, and the involved FBI agent was just another cog in Comey’s corrupt agenda-driven wheel.

Find it interesting that he was brought up on charges in public.

That is typically not done.

Given recent history, how does anyone associated with the FBI have any credibility at all?

The prosecution was handled through a grand jury in Portland and is being announced by the Obama US Attorney in Oregon under whose auspices it operated.

Billy Williams is a career prosecutor appointed to fill the US Attorney slot by Loretta Lynch in December 2015.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not ask for or receive Mr. Williams resignation when he took over at the Justice Department.

I find it interesting that Williams is acting in what may be his final days in his position.

Word from Oregon is that the Trump Administration could appoint its US Attorney for Oregon by the end of this month.

If my memory is correct, reports at the time suggested the first shots were discharged before their vehicle reached the roadblock, and one of which struck their vehicle.

Obama fired all the US Attorneys pretty quickly.

What did Trump let them stay on?

Many other ones went quickly.

I saw a documentary called “American Standoff” about this tragedy. If you haven’t watched it, I would recommend it.
There is actual video from inside the truck, you can hear the 2 shots this article is describing.

Also drone footage, it did not appear to me that he was reaching for a gun.

I was under some impression like that but the shots influenced LaVoy’s actions in exiting the truck and moving away from it.

The actions that led an Oregon State police trooper to claim he was “threatened” and kill LaVoy.

The FIB.... err FBI have not learned their lesson from Waco and Ruby Ridge..... they are the new Murder Incorporated.

The FBI used to be respected and looked up to. Now when you look up to them, all you see is the muzzle of the 9mm they are pointing at you.

Q: What’s the difference between the FBI and a criminal gang?

A: A criminal gang has lower cost overhead and isn’t funded by taxpayers.

The FBI never learned their lesson because they were never punished. The sad fact is they only stopped doing Ruby Ridges and Wacos because of Oklahoma City revenge bombing.

Yes and obviously the Lon Horiuchi mentally lurks within. I remember the ——— HRT dudes testifying at the Ruby Ridge shooting of Vicki Weaver. Lying scum they were.

Some FBI agents need to be in federal prison for their actions in this matter.
