The shady lawyer who was with obama officials 8 days later. Washington and the media need an enema.

Opposition Research. Is this something that the Trump family invented? Have any other political campaigns ever tried to find dirt on their opponents?

John Podhoretz, isn't that observation just precious.

Couldn’t have anything to do with the former British spy being paid by the left?

And this time don’t those who are always defending him even try to defend him. It’s immoral.

When he said I love it, he also said to meet later this summer. Doesn’t sound to excited to receive information.

Podhoretz is being more than a little disingenuous. The information initially given to Jr was about illegal contributions to Dems. It wasn’t some salacious bs about pageant dressing rooms and hotel beds. Who wouldn’t be happy to finally get the proof of what we all know about the Clintons and DNC?

I was hoping that Don Jr. had, in his defense, just said that he was hoping to receive some information regarding the shady uranium deal that Hillary made, with the huge financial contributions to the Clinton Foundation. Americans have a right to know the details of this and he would have been happy to get them. He could have directed the conversation back to the criminal Hillary.

Trump Jr. follows up on opposition research. Very very bad... Then it led to nothing.

McCain sends a lackey to get the dossier addressing a made up golden bed incident. Very very good. Then others ran with it publishing it in the press for effect.

Trump Jr. is considered evil. Trump Sr. should resign...

McCain still the Elder Statesman.

I’m so sick of these double-standards and absurdities.

He didn’t call the FBI to say he had evidence the Russian government was seeking to interfere with the presidential election of 2016. No, he said, “I love it” — and set up a meeting with the shady Russian lawyer who, he was told, might share dirt with him.

Three words, John Podhoretz: Fake Trump dossier.

This isn’t about now or today. The left wants to make sure they never lose an election again. I order to do this they want to ensure their candidates are insulated from oppo research that may discover misdeeds. It’s akin (if not the same) as assigning a negative connotation to the term “swift boating.”

Typical.

Those who think Trump Jr. should have not taken the meeting and called the FBI need to see what Hillary did rather than to call the FBI. She held a server with all emails in her house rather than let the government have them. The DNC did not allow the FBI to check their servers. The reality is that nobody who knew the FBI or justice department felt that they were anything but a leaky political machine. You have the head of the justice department meeting with Clinton on a tarmac. The reality that Jr. had no choice but to take the meeting or deny it. But to tell the FBI was not an option. If he did the New York Times headline would have been “unnamed government source confirms Russians trying to colluding with Trump to throw election”.

After knowing what we now know about the political partisanship of the FBI and their willingness to walk away from pursuing criminal charges against Hillary Clinton despite the laundry list of evidence of such crimes presented in public by the FBI director himself ... I'd say anyone who chastises any person for failing to notify the FBI about potential information related to a political campaign is a moron at best and an @sshole at worst.

“...from the Russian government ...”

I thought the Brit who was the agent for the girls in the Miss Universe contest was the middleman trying to arrange the interview with the Russian attorney - the Russian government was not mentioned.

Then two weeks later she is photographed at a meeting sitting next at table with Obama’s ambassador to Russia. Could this be an Obama set-up.

I did a search on the woman lawyer and found where she worked for three years in a district prosecutors office upon completion of law school and no other connection to the government.

Russia 24/7 is sucking the life out of this administration. My head spins with all of this childish behavior. EVERY story I hear has something connected to Trump/Russia.

Is this administration so masochistic to take this day in and day out? At first I thought we were playing "rope-a-dope". Playing defense all the time must be exhausting.

The GOP inexplicably, with few exceptions, will not back the President.
