Colin Kaepernick is likely being blackballed, according to ESPNs Adam Schefter. There have been plenty of other reasons and excuses provided by NFL teams to explain why the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is still a free agent, but Kaepernicks protests from the 2016 season loom large.
In a Thursday morning appearance on ESPN Radios Mike and Mike, Adam Schefter said he believes that NFL owners have tried to keep coaches and front-office personnel from going after Kaepernick.
Do I think that certain owners have blocked teams from visits or interest? I do, I do believe that, Schefter said. And I think that there has been more interest in him from the coaching and front office level than there has been at the ownership level. So it was always going to take a unique opportunity for him to be brought in, in the right place, at the right spot, at the right time.
Many others believe NFL owners have halted general managers from signing Kaepernick, but Schefter is one of the most connected reporters in the league and one of the few to actually say that owners are likely the reason Kaepernick is still a free agent.

Ravens are throwing his name around with Flacco hurt.
Sign him and put him in as a middle linebacker.

Kaep’s defenders invariably ignore his lousy PLAY these last few years. Alleging institutional racism is so much more comforting for them.
>Points at Kaepernik<
HA! HA!
If your motivation for avoiding a player is to avoid friction in the locker room and chasing your fans away, that is NOT blackballing. Blackballing would be to avoid a player for a non-business related reason.
Interesting. The NFL takes a knee on Kaepernick. Tough nuts.

“Twenty-six percent of those who watched fewer games last season said that national anthem protests, some of which were led by Colin Kaepernick, were the reason.”
Even ESPN admits the truth. Besides being a 2-14 loser, Kaepernick is bad for the bottom line. I hope he finds something positive to do for the world, although that turnaround would require a miracle from God. As for football, I hope he never again sets foot (or knee) on the field. Choices should have consequences.
“Do you know how to speak Canadian?”
I sure as Hell stopped watching the NFL. Got tired of the anti-American, anti-White crap.

LMAO!
Yep, he stepped on it. F him.
This is what it’s all about, he is setting himself up to be the ‘martyr’ for the cause.
Freedom of speech is NOT freedom from consequences. The biggest thing preventing him from playing is himself. He dug the hole, so let him dig himself out.
I wonder if Sharpton or Jackson will try some extortion on a few NFL teams.
Maybe the 'N' doesn't stand for what it used to.
It’s also the same reason teams didn’t want Tebow. He was going to bring a lot of distractions to the locker room.
That wasn’t Tebow’s fault, it’s just because of the way people feel about him. He didn’t encourage it, like Kaepernick does. But it is the same reason owners didn’t want him.
On the other hand, Tebow has been great for the Minor League baseball teams he’s playing for in terms of generating publicity.
Of course the fact that his play level deteriorated year over year, that his inability to take direction from coaches or other QBs, and his overall cockiness made him a hot mess.......yup no reasons at all
