“It was a failure from newest member [Sen.] Luther Strange [R-Ala.] at the bottom to the very top with Mitch McConnell as majority leader, and I hope that the Senate will not quit — I hope and urge the senate to stay in Washington, D.C., until the job gets done,” he continued.
"And if they're gonna quit, then, by golly, maybe they oughta [sic] start at the top with Mitch McConnell leaving his position and letting somebody new, somebody bold, somebody conservative take the reins, so that they can come up with a plan that can get through the United States Senate," Brooks said.
"Unquestionably the leadership at the top is responsible," he told Cuomo. "The buck stops there — that's why you take on that kind of responsibility. If Mitch McConnell cannot get the job done on this, how is he going to get the job done on the rest of President Trump's agenda over the next three-and-a-half years? This is a killer."
"It's not necessarily anything bad about Mitch McConnell himself personally. But he's got a job to do, and if he can't do it then, as 'The Apprentice' would say, 'You're fired,' get somebody who can," said Brooks.
Nationally syndicated conservative radio host Mark Levin was a bit more blunt.
"McCain joins Democrats, McConnell fails again and must go," he tweeted early Friday.

Well, when you hire somebody to do a job and the prove they cannot, then you must find someone who can. This man is past is usefulness and obviously no longer capable of leadership.
I want most of the Senate to resign.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Gardner, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst and Shelby are all Democrats in R jerseys.

Blunt (MO) was one of the ones trying to get Murkowsky to change her vote. Probably just for show. He is married to a lobbyist.
I figured there were five or six rogue Republican Senators. Now we realize it’s most of them. I can’t imagine how this menagerie would EVER select someone who isn’t a coup member. Perhaps it’s best to stick with a thoroughly embarrassed McConnell. The mistake might’ve been to let Murkowski and Collins go off the rails, thinking they had McCain’s vote.
If he won’t step down, and he won’t, he should be forced to remove committee chairmanship positions from McCrazy (Chairman of Committee on Armed Services), Murkowski (Chairman of Committee on Energy and Natural Resources) and
Collins (Chairman of Special Committee on Aging). That’s for starters.
I wish there was a chance in hell of this actually happening.
What exactly is he supposed to do, to make McCain, Collins, Murkowski and 4 others fall into line?

LBJ never seemed to have these problems when he was Majority Leader.
He could earn another chance by taking away the chairmanships from McCain, Mulkowsky and Collins. They caused this problem for him, if there are no consequences they will assure he loses his position
He’s been useless for that past 25 years.
