TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS:
You can always count on Mitch to get behind the most moderate of the bunch. And conservatives will probably split their votes once again. And Luther Strange will remain a dependable aye man for McConnell.

Thanks. Didn’t know that.

“Trump needs to get involved.”
Trump’s problem is that in order to replace RINO’s with Conservatives or Populists, he’s going to have to cut the cord with McConnell, and I think with all the other crap going on, he dare not do that just yet.

And the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Senate GOP campaign arm McConnell controls, has warned consultants they'll be cut off from future work if they assist Stranges opponents.
Did Murkowski or Collins get that kind of pushback from McConnell? I'm doubtful.
Strange was appointed by the corrupt resigned governor of Alabama. By itself, that makes backing him smell.

Who in his/her right mind would vote for a democrat-lite named Luther Strange?

yuppers. Here in Georgia too, Drew Ferguson is cut from the same mold as Lynn Westmoreland, winning a primary runoff with an effective campaign that was able to mischaracterize Freedom Caucus-style conservative Stephen Crain by taking a quotation about dealing with warrantless cops breaking in without announcing themselves right at the same time those poor police in Dallas were shot down by BLM. The opportunity to shape the debate was there, and he had the money from Cheap Labor Express types to exploit it. Governor Nathan Deal is another one of those. Better than teh Collins/Murkowski version, but we in Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia owe our country better.

If the democrats had nominated a good old boy from legislature who spoke against abortion and was for guns instead of that mindless idiot Grimes Mitch would have lost the last time. I didn’t vote for him in the primary and left the senate vote uncast in the general election.
