HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Bragging about keeping his promises on immigration, the economy, the environment and crime, President Trump celebrated on Thursday with a raucous West Virginia crowd as the state’s Democratic governor announced that he will switch to the Republican Party.
With Gov. Jim Justice by his side, Mr. Trump hailed stock market records and the growth of coal income in West Virginia. And he delivered a lengthy critique of the federal investigations of his campaign’s ties to Russia, calling the matter “a fake story that is demeaning to all of us.”

He’s a jackass with no real core beliefs and a penchant for switching parties depending on the political winds.
Actually, the situation in West Virginia is so desperate that you could elect George Washington, and it would be hopeless.
Trump’s policies may be able to get coal production up to the low 100 million tons range again....which is still 80 million tons short of where it was in the 90s.
And even then, it’s not an industry that is going to produce massive numbers of jobs any longer since the process is so automated now.
The budget deficit is half a billion dollars. The population is aging at a truly alarming rate. And the young people that remain are addicted to opioids.
I’m not exactly optimistic about WV’s future over the next 20 years.
Keep rolling back those regs until the bureaucrats have seizures.
Then roll back some more until they resign en masse.

Democrats still control both branches of Government in 6 States... We need to flip all of ‘em except California... that might take too much money and effort for very little return.
