The complaint alleges that the Heritage Oak Private Education school in Yorba Linda “unlawfully discriminated against Nikki,” and elaborates: “Heritage Oak repudiated Nikki’s core identity. It refused to use the name, pronoun, and gender corresponding to Nikki’s gender identity, required Nikki to wear the boy’s uniform and use the boy’s restroom, and failed to address the bullying that Nikki was subjected to because of her gender identity and gender expression.”
The complaint also describes the harm that Nikki allegedly suffered:
Seven-year-old Nikki became depressed and talked about self-harm; she isolated herself socially and would not play with other children at recess because she could not be herself with them; she would not participate in school-related events after hours when she had to wear boy’s clothes; and she felt that the school was blocking her “inner light.” On the day when she tore a photograph of herself in half and cried out, “I hate myself,” Nikki’s parents had no choice but to remove her from the school and homeschool her for the rest of the year.
In its “statement of facts” elaborating on the details of the case, the complaint asserts: “It is a scientific truth that, for certain children, their inner sense of themselves—their gender identity—does not correspond to the sex assigned to them at birth.”
The suit refers to California civil rights law, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender, which means biological sex as well as “gender identity and gender expression.”
In a statement reported by the Orange County Register, the school said that it had accommodated older transgender students without a problem, and that it had tried to work with Nikki’s parents, but that they rejected its approach.

They want to be the ‘cool’ parents of a ‘transgender’ child and the envy of all their liberal ‘friends’.

If this was anywhere but California, the school could just use the “sanity” defense. But in a state where up is down and good is bad, who knows?
His BODY HAS “expressed” his gender. It is in every cell of his body, including every cell of his brain. It is reflected in his body construction, from body size and mass to genitalia, to rate of production of hormones & hormonal balance, to even the minute ways event the brain demonstrates gender differences.
That the child has identity dysphoria expressed in an error driven obsession that they are not the gender they in fact are, and that the school rightly sees it that way is not “abuse” by the school.
The true abusers are the parents who are entertaining a childish obsession they would best help their child to get rid of.
An obsession is an emotional form of addiction.
Do you entertain an addict’s addiction, because doing so is easier for you and the addict than the difficult road of ending the addiction? No. If true help is what you want to do then you work to help them get over the addiction; you do not become enablers of it. The kids parents are the true abusers.
these socalled parents should be imprisoned for child abuse....and the kid should be given the very best foster home it is humanly possible to find...to help with recovery

Probably. Could also include habits of cleanliness or taste in clothing colors. I myself am “gender nonconforming,” because I have short hair. Also, I’m head of my church’s Spanish music program, instead of submissively letting a man lead.

You bet it is. They are looking for the marquee case to get the precedent. Within 3-4 years tops 13 year old girls will be forced to share locker rooms and showers with dudes who claim they are girls that day.
it is...I belong to a writers group and one of the writers is a totally waked out liberal who one day took in a girl who was troubled and claiming to be transgendered identifying as a man. the truth is she is a sex abuse survivor struggling with body dysphoria. with in 6 months two of her kids are suddenly transgendered and a third is claiming to be asexual. she has become a LGBT activist and believes she knows more then me on the subject.
10 years ago my sister came out as being transgendered and I have educated myself on the subject. she got extremely angry when I suggested that it was extremely unlikely that all three of her girls were transgendered. that her girls might be just confused because of the other girl that she took in.

Why aren’t liberal-minded people angry about the Left’s obsession with forcing people to undergo painful operations resulting in sterilization just because the individuals in question don’t “fit in”?
I think it’s a logical necessity in support of the contention that “sexual orientation” is an inborn, unchangeable, comprehensive personal identity - like race, only more so - rather than a psychological disorder and/or a set of behavioral choices.
One’s sex (or “gender”) must be even more personally foundational than one’s sexual desires or activities.

A confused citizenry is so much easier to control...........and the Dems are planning on regaining control in 2018.
The Greatest Generation had women working in ship building and other war time occupations which were traditionally male because the men were all “over there” fighting in Europe or the Pacific. This gender nonsense came after that, like in the 50’s and 60’s, and it seems the “genders” are only growing more extreme and polarized like politics.
I was a tomboy, from a long line of tomboys who grew up to be perfectly acceptable grown women and mothers. This “gender” stuff is getting pretty scary from my perspective.
If she chose to smoke cigarettes and drunk alcohol would they allow,it? Since she is wise enough to reject her chromosomes , let her make all her choices.would they let her ride a bike without a Hemet if she identified as a 20 year,old?
I don’t think I agree with you because while there is a basic difference in many prepubescent boys and girls, you also have tom-boys and mamas-boys who end up very different once the hormones hit.
You aren’t going to get strong sons from overly girly mothers. I think genetics may run deeper than social theories.
it is an ideology nothing more nothing less. the problem was created when the left decided to destroy the gender roles that men and women have rather then excepting that girls tend to be more nurturing and men want to be protective of the opposite sex. the liberal use of feminism to attack other they don’t agree with has helped to create the transgendered monster.
