Ed Klein: Hillary's Plea Bargain

The Justice Department has reopened the investigation of Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified material on her private email system while she was secretary of state, and is considering offering her a plea bargain if she will agree to plead guilty to charges of breaking the law, according to a Clinton attorney.

The discussion of a plea bargain took place late last month and was offered by a high-ranking Justice Department official to the Clinton lawyer.

During the exploratory talks with the prosecutor, the Clinton attorney was told that despite former FBI Director James Comey's decision last July not to prosecute Hillary, the Justice Department has reexamined the email case and believes there are ample grounds for prosecuting Hillary on a number of counts.

Under the Justice Department's plea offer, Hillary would be required to sign a document admitting that she committed a prosecutable crime. In return, the DOJ would agree not to bring charges against Hillary in connection with the email probe.

Also as part of the agreement, the Justice Department would not proceed with an investigation of Hillary's pay to play deals with foreign governments and businessmen who contributed to the Clinton Foundation or who paid Bill Clinton exorbitant speaking fees.

The only plea bargain she should be offered, for all her crimes/corruption, is, if she wants to be executed by hanging, firing squad, lethal injection, or gas chamber, PERIOD!.

Consider the source. This story makes absolutely no sense. This idiocy suggests that she doesnt plead guilty to a crime just admits she could have been prosecuted and a bunch of other crimes of hers are dropped. No, jeff sessions would be run out of office if this stupid article were true. Plus, when was the last time you heard that DOJ dropped potential investigations in exchange for someone admitting in writing that they “could “ have been prosecuted. This is Ruddy fake news. Nothing else.

Further evidence that Jeff Sessions is not a lot different than any of the other jackasses from the Senate with an (R) after their name, save Rand Paul.

If Jeff Sessions is such a big fan of Civil Asset Forfeiture, let’s see him grow a big pair of balls and seize the assets of WJC, HRC, AND the Clinton Crime Fund, errrrr, Foundation.

This is a trial balloon to see if she can get away with her crimes committed while selling the Sec of State’s Office for a donation to the Clinton Foundation...

It makes me think that somebody has been flipped to testify against her though...

Local radio said they didn’t even open the investigation until Comey was no longer FBI head.

I ain’t buyin this just yet. But if true, giving up the pay for play is too much and just gets her off the hook.

The guilty plea as a minimum must include the permanent life consequences of being a convicted felon, such as not being able to vote.

At least give her house arrest and make her wear a leg bracelet

I don't think they make them that big.

agree, instead of “interesting” I would say “insulting” to the American People who actually work and pay the bills in this country.

I think this is pure fantasy and I can’t imagine Trump agreeing to let this thief of millions and a murdereress to boot off with just simply handing her a Kleenex..........

MINIMUM 30 days in Federal holding

I think 30 YEARS would better fit the crimes.

Probably won’t be thrown in jail like Jim Bakker was, and he is a living saint compared to her.
