One would think that the President at one time must have asked himself “Why am I being served all this crap?” and told the White House chef “At 9:30PM, I want a steak medium rare and a loaded baked potato delivered to the Oval Office”.
Oooohhh
TR’s Mother who was a Bulloch from Georgia, was very frugal. I think she was a good cook but tended to prepare meals which were inexpensive.
This despite the family being wealthy.
Did she kill anyone in the local parks? Piker.
I have cookbooks from the 20s (I also own an Eleanor Roosevelt cookie cookbook put out by FDR’s home in Hyde Park, NY.) and you are right. They served everything under geletin or aspic. Maybe a preservative?
Eleanor looked like the hag from hades. Why old frank ever married that ugly mutt is beyond me.
“Evil woman. Not very attractive either.”
How was she evil? Not arguing with you; just curious about what you meant.
Either lightly breaded and pan fried, served with rich gravy
~or~
Rumaki with extra thick bacon and water chestnuts for crunch.
The founding mother who established the long tradition of ugly, sexually perverted democrat 'women'.
Nobody cooks or grills holding their pocketbook. They might if a photographer was standing by ready to give the impression one was an interested housekeeper. (Women of her generation and class never entered a kitchen.)
“Wasnt Eleanor a dyke? I just realized she looks a lot like Kathy Bates.”
The leftists lover her for that.
Lorena Alice Hickok (March 7, 1893 May 1, 1968) was an American journalist known for her close romantic relationship with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

The funny thing is, the entire Washington Press Corp new about their escapades, in those days however that was just something that would whispered and joked about, but not reported.
My Mother who was born in 1918 was a very good cook but she used a lot of grease.
My Grandmother who was born in the 1800s pretty much drenched everything in grease.
Fried chicken livers and red onions are great eating.
What did Eleanor do, have them boiled?
I think the punishment for Democrat men is Democrat women. JFK is the only exception.
Roslyn Carter seemed to be a nice lady at least we never heard of her throwing anything at Jimmy.
Good catch! Once you see it, you can’t forget it!
From what the documentaries and articles about Franklin and Eleanor say-theirs was pretty much a marriage approved/arranged by their ladeda eletist families-neither had much interest in the other, sexually speaking-Eleanor probably was one of those women who-as my Brit neighbor would say-closed her eyes and thought of England when performing her wifely duties in bed-supposedly, after she’d given birth to the expected number of kids, they never slept together again-she had a lesbian relationship and he had a mistress-the mistress was said to have been with him when he died-not horseface Eleanor...
And I’m hungry for grilled chicken livers and there are none within 20 miles...
Rosalyn was about as bad as Jimmy.
She was a looker in her youth tho.
Very, very under the radar.
