Workers in Charlottesville, Va. shrouded statues of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee and Gen. Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson in black on Wednesday as the city grappled with an outbreak of deadly violence at a white nationalist rally earlier this month.
Workers used ropes, poles and cherry-pickers to hoist what appeared to be a black tarpaulin over both statues as onlookers took photos and video. Some in the crowd surrounding the Lee statue cheered as the cover was put in place.

It’s a great time to plaster the world with posters and online JPEG images detailing all the odiously racist statements made by Che Guevara with a demand that all imagery of him be destroyed, including those omnipresent and deeply stupid fascist fashionista tee-shirts.
And, do the same to that hideous hammer and sickle Soviet flag while we’re at it. Every atrocity in the third world, reel it off. They love THAT Russia. It’s the Russia that’s no longer communist that they hate.
Maybe it would be better if we prayed for them and let God be their judges. This is too much like losers (minorities) rewriting history because the loudest and most troublemakers seem to win these days, just like the Communists were able to take over Russia with a very small minority. And the real Nazis, too. It was like infectious. Looking at those old films, I can't imagine who would want to follow that ugly Hitler who wasn't even particularly normal, wasn't born German and no wife (may have had children?).
