German authorities have banned the most influential internet website of Antifa the country's militant left -- in the wake of violence that occured last month outside the G20 summit in Hamburg.
In an unprecedented move against violent left-wing extremism, Germanys Interior Ministry informed the owners of the left-wing site about the crackdown Friday..
Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière claimed the website helped incite the violence in Hamburg and warned of serious consequences of left-wing radicalism
...
the site tried to legitimize violence against police officers, which he described as an expression of an attitude that tramples human dignity.
This is absolutely unacceptable and incompatible with our liberal democratic order, he added.
According to the Local, Germanys internal spy agency once described the website, which has operated since 2008, as the most important platform for violent left-wing extremism in Germany. For years it has been providing a forum for people to publish first-hand reports on left-wing crimes.

I have never understood why the countries like Germany don’t arrest and prosecute these rioters breaking windows and smashing cars. Don’t need to ruin the life of these dumbass kids, but a few weeks in jail would perhaps make some of them think a bit next time.
They shut it down, but I think within twenty-four hours....they were back up and operational, just not based out of Germany. There was some suggestion that they had a server out of Canada being operated. My guess is that they have a dozen back-up sites ready to crank up and this episode by the government won’t find much success.
92% of left-wing activists live with their parents and one in three is unemployed.
Your comment makes me think of this excerpt from Michael Caine’s Wikipedia entry:
“He had gone into Korea feeling sympathetic to communism, coming as he did from a poor family, but the experience left him permanently repelled.[17] He experienced a situation where he knew he was going to die, the memory of which stayed with him and formed his character; he later said, “The rest of my life I have lived every bloody moment from the moment I wake up until the time I go to sleep.”[18] Caine would like to see the return of national service to help combat youth violence, stating: “I’m just saying, put them in the Army for six months. You’re there to learn how to defend your country. You belong to the country. Then when you come out, you have a sense of belonging rather than a sense of violence”.[19]”
So make them clean up the destruction they caused. Gives them a little work practice at least. They smash things because they know that nothing will happen to them. They are organizing their riots quite openly and always in the cities. Wouldn’t be too hard to bring reinforcements to the police from surrounding rural areas and show these kids that sometimes actions have consequences.
Wikipedia says conscription was abolished in Germany in 2011. There might have been a period before where it was phased down. Don’t know enough about Germany to have an opinion about the extent of conscription and youths misbehaving there.
I know there is no such youth foolery in Finland and they have a very well organized conscription. What I think may also play a role there is that Finland needs conscription for defense but Germany and UK do not.
These thugs WORK FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GERMAN GLOBAL ELITES. Who do you think pays for the masks, travel expenses, matching baseball bats, and organization? Those things aren't cheap ... Antifa is an international army... Big Money's behind the movement ... Could it be the Chinese? Iranians? Germans?
Looks like things are starting to change in Germany. One of the Hamburg rioters, who threw a bottle at the police officer, has just been sentenced to two years and seven months. There are other rioters also on trial.
